Are there any Freepers who support John McCain?

If you support Mr. McCain, can you make the case for your man?

Can you make the case without bringing up the War?

Can you make the case without bringing up Judges?

Can you make the case without using any ACU ratings? (Those don't impress anybody.)

Can you make the case without insults or telling people to "calm down"?

Can you make the case without the type of lying and dishonesty we've come to expect from John McCain and his special friend Mike Huckabee?

Can you make the case without trashing Barack Obama?

Can you make the case without using Hillary Rodham Clinton as some kind of boogyman or boogyperson?

Can you?

The ball is in your court.

“I guess if he makes the right VP choice I would consider it.”

if you disagree with some past mcpain policy/position, please tell me how ANY vp he picks will cause him to change that position, and get your vote on that delusion

and if you have no disagreement with any past mcpain policy/position, then why in the #$%^&^% would ANY vp choice make any difference in supporting him

I agree .. I’ve NEVER sat out an election - and I’ll hold my nose and vote for McCain this time.

But .. I think his speech at CPAC was horse pucky.

If you believe that speech was in any, shape, or form was sincere, you must have also believed GHWB was sincere when he gave that speech in 1988 pledging “no new taxes.” McCain was laughing all the way to his hotel room (apparently with good reason) that he actually pulled one over on at least some of the suckers.

And McCain won’t have the GOP elephant as his logo either..it will have to be a jackephant..sort of like the “elephantiger” that some 6 year old had to blend so the teacher could then go on with a “ can’t we all get along lecture” to these little skulls full of mush....the next generation of big skulls full of mush..

Has logic but also has defeatism.

In any event, a lot of bad things are about to hit the fan and all this may well be theoretical no matter who wins.

The economy is crashing and nobody I know, including all the central banks combined, can save it.

Terrorists are in place here in the USA and even more in depth throughout Europe, so we will have major death and destruction on our shores once we withdraw from Iraq. And more when Iran gets more mukes than it has and resucitates the fading ones it already has.

WE quibble over relative inanities - like fiddling while Rome burns.
Be well.

“John McCain is not for securing our borders. Attacking suicidal terrorists overseas with our back door wide open is actually more dangerous than doing nothing at all.”

You are quite correct. If we’re going to leave our borders wide open, we should logically elect Hussein to sweet talk the Muslims. They’ll assume they’re already winning and perhaps leave us alone for a while.

you know, personally, I think Mccain should put on his own straightjacket, to save the boys in white the trouble.

* however*

With my last, dying breath, I will jump at the chance to give the female dog one last no vote. Until she is no longer a contender for sewage mopping, and neither is her husband the impotus, I will vote against her, no matter who is running against her, or him. (well, maybe not someone of the likes of arafat, but close)

Saying she is pure evil is an understatement. What she will do to this country cannot be allowed to happen, period.

Voting for her antagonist is not "unconservative". Allowing her ilk to grace (?) the WH and implement her ideas is.

The TOP issue is defense and security.
The next attack is coming. Chances are high, in the next several years. It’ll dwarf 9/11. I’m reluctantly voting for McCain, simply because I’d feel safer with him at the helm. True, he sucks on nearly everything, yet AT LEAST he’s serious about the War on Terror. I just don’t feel he’d put the defense of this country in the hands of the UN, like Obama or Hillary would do.

And then only if McCain would agree to “do the right thing” immediately after inauguration.

In a speech to the Conservative Political Action Conference in the morning, Bush plans to say that the nominee of the party will be a strong conservative, according to excerpts released by the White House tonight.

You deal with these types of people by giving them clear demands and then backing those demands up with air strikes against their infrastructure.

Did that. Clinton tried it. Never works. Our planes were fired on in the no fly zone too.

and fight a long, costly war that is to help another country, not ours.

Do we have jihadis on our streets? I thought most of them are busy in Iraq.

You DO know the surge is working, right? It's been posted here.

Then there are Freepers who are our "eyes".

The above is why they are now using women.

You wave the banner of “conservatism” like the jihadists wave the banner of Islam. Ease back and win the war of nations not a battle of slogans.

He had surgery to remove a melanoma a few years ago.
And don’t forget, his wife, Cindy, had a stroke at one time..mild but none the less a stroke. She seems to have recovered well..she would make heart/vascular her FL issues I suppose.

Here is my case ... He is more conservative that either of the two Democratic potential nominees ...

What basis do you have for believing that he would remain so for even five minutes after being elected?

Someone on another thread made a point which needs to be repeated more often (but which I haven't seen mentioned much since). John McCain feels a strong need to do good, but some severe delusions as to what that actually entails. The Democrats have become very skillful at manipulating him. The image I get is of a kid who's very proud at having gotten $100 for that dark old painting in the living room, never mind that it was a Rembrandt that was worth $1M.

That brings up another point. Perhaps you're more knowledgeable of McCain's history and can help me out here. When, within the last six years, has McCain engaged in any sort of negotiation where the side he was supposed to be supporting came out ahead? What would happen if McCain got into any sort of negotiations with foreign powers?

Perhaps McCain has demonstrated some prowess with which I'm not familiar and successfully used it toward conservative ends. If so I'd like to hear it. Can you offer any examples?

I will not vote for him.

Let the other Socialist Party win the White House.

We now have a one party system, SOCIALIST.

The Republican Socialist Party and the Democrat Socialist Party.

The RNC will not get a dime from me, or my vote.

Ditto!
