Are there any Freepers who support John McCain?

If you support Mr. McCain, can you make the case for your man?

Can you make the case without bringing up the War?

Can you make the case without bringing up Judges?

Can you make the case without using any ACU ratings? (Those don't impress anybody.)

Can you make the case without insults or telling people to "calm down"?

Can you make the case without the type of lying and dishonesty we've come to expect from John McCain and his special friend Mike Huckabee?

Can you make the case without trashing Barack Obama?

Can you make the case without using Hillary Rodham Clinton as some kind of boogyman or boogyperson?

Can you?

The ball is in your court.

Sounds like you’re asking if we can make the case without making the case.

LOL

You expressed my thoughts. I sympathize with the people who are screaming now, but Hillary/Obama aren’t getting a pass from me.

People should put their energy into holding McCain’s feet to the fire on immigration and global warming, not in throwing temper tantrums.

Couldn't hear ya. Could you say it just a little louder?
;-p

He's in his 70s, but he looks pretty healthy to me.

Maybe you get no answer, because nobody knows.

What were saying is there is no good reason to vote for McCain, only reasons to vote against the Democrates. That’s no way to win an election.

Defensive voteing is the desperate last stand of a failed political party. Everyone has left the tent, and the new evangelist is talking to himself.

Or only hope at this point of retaining the presidency, is a personal disaster for McCain, or a National Disaster that can only be solved by McCain.

Screw you. I signed up here a few weeks ago because it’s the most conservative message board I’ve been able to find and I’m sick of having the same tired debates with liberals. Turns out, there are asshole liberals even on conservative boards. If you think McCain would fight the WOT any tougher than Bush has, you’re in insane. A strong natl security is not synonymous with a strong foreign deployment. It is not the role of our military to conduct humanitarian missions in order to make our foreign policy makers look good in the opinion of the world.

The nation building mission in Iraq has derailed the military missions in Iraq and we’ve lost public support for the war because of it and that is why McCain running on that issue is going to be clobbered this election, probably by a landslide and you RINOs are too blame. The most liberal run war in the history of the world....and you want more of the same. you’re a joke and a stupid one at that so piss off!

"Shame on the rest of you dreamers who won’t be voting. Thanks a hell of a lot for electing the Democrats this fall."

I could say shame on you for compromising your principles so that 'party' can win, and

I could say shame on you for not having any principles in the first place, or

I could say shame on you for staying on the republican plantation when you are probably one of the very folks that condemn other segments of the population for staying on the democrat plantation.

However, I won't say any of those things because, even if I don't agree with you, I respect the fact that you can cast your vote any way that you see fit.

Who are you to seemingly cast shame upon other folks because they don't see things your way?

Mccain was part of the Gang of 14 threatening the “nuclear option” if Bush were to pick a conservative judge.

And I wanted to throw a shoe at my TV when McCain smiled and laughed when he was booed. He treats the GOP like we are just some hicks he can con for a few minutes before he gets back to his real campaign - winning all the liberals and ‘moderates’ out there who don’t listen to Rush or Hannity.

One other point McCain will never admit to. He has absolutely ZERO interest in campaigning for or helping any GOP House or Senate candidates who aren’t pro-amnesty or pro-global warming taxs. He has never campaigned for anybody who disagreed with him on his signature issues in the past. And having a Dem run House and Senate works out great for him since they all agree on the big stuff and he can claim to be ‘bi-partisan’. He won’t be lifting a finger to get another conservative to Washington D.C. the whole time he remains there.

McCain will never use the word ‘conservative’ after he gets the 1191 delegates and secures the nomination. And he will not appear before any group who could be considered to be conservative again. Ever. And he will take both the words ‘conservative’ and ‘Reagan’ off his website for the general election since he won’t need to pretend he is one of us any longer (on the mistaken belief that we have no were else to go to we’ll just accept our excrement sandwich).

McCain is a disaster for the GOP. Our efforts in Congress have to be entirely separate from him since that is the only way we will get more conservatives onto the Hill. And those candidates will have to run AGAINST McCain to get elected as well as running against Hillary/Obama.

This just plain sucks and we can blame the turdburglars who designed this primary in their own interests and not in the interests of the GOP voters. No more front loading, no more winner-take-all in Big Blue States and no more NH and IA!!!!

Just received this from the REPULICAN JEWISH COALITION:

RJC: McCain Draws Clear Contrasts on Iran

Washington, D.C. (February 7, 2008) -- The Republican Jewish Coalition (RJC) applauded the words of Sen. John McCain's speech before CPAC today:

[Neither Democrat will] recognize and seriously address the threat posed by an Iran with nuclear ambitions to our ally, Israel, and the region. I intend to make unmistakably clear to Iran we will not permit a government that espouses the destruction of the State of Israel as its fondest wish and pledges undying enmity to the United States to possess the weapons to advance their malevolent ambitions.

Senator Clinton and Senator Obama will concede to our critics that our own actions to defend against its threats are responsible for fomenting the terrible evil of radical Islamic extremism, and their resolve to combat it will be as flawed as their judgment. I intend to defeat that threat by staying on offense and by marshaling every relevant agency of our government, and our allies, in the urgent necessity of defending the values, virtues and security of free people against those who despise all that is good about us.

"We are thrilled to hear Senator McCain so clearly contrast his position on Iran -- Israel's vitriolic enemy -- with that of Senator Clinton and Senator Obama. Senator McCain recognizes the only way to defeat this evil is with resolve and not lip-service," said RJC Executive Director Matt Brooks. "For 25 years, Senator McCain has been a tireless advocate for a strong and secure United States and Israel. Senator McCain understands the threat hostile regimes like Iran pose; Senator Clinton and Senator Obama do not."

“People should put their energy into holding McCain’s feet to the fire on immigration and global warming, not in throwing temper tantrums”.

People have been trying to hold McCain’s feet to the fire for years and years. He tells you to piss off. Since that is a quality you must admire so much, I’m telling that to every last person trying to humiliate me and guilt me into voting for him. The more they try to do it, the more I know I’m making the right decision and I’m not the only one. Even people that I assumed would vote for him are just livid and are not voting this election. Most aren’t even hard core conservatives but are what I always considered moderates and they have no clue how this clown won.

Not this one. Other than supporting the troops (An important item, of course) there isn’t much of a difference between him and Hillary.

SENATOR JOHN MCCAIN AND HOUSE MINORITY LEADER RICHARD GEPHARDT TO BE HONORED AT 1999 NCLR CAPITAL AWARDS

2004-SENATOR JOHN MCCAIN TO PROVIDE KEYNOTE ADDRESS AT NCLR ANNUAL CONFERENCE

John McCain and La Raza-The Race share a deep-seated contempt for grass-roots conservatives who worked successfully to defeat the disastrous amnesty bill. And they share a common impulse to marginalize their political opponents as “haters.”
LiNK

McCain must be stopped.

With respect, you are so worried about right to life or a woman’s abortion rights that you are ready to “abort” the nation?

THINK hard about how short sighted this might be. If we lose to terrorism after they follow us back to the USA when we retreat from Iraq as per the Dims, abortion or the right to life will be the least of your problems. Our problems.
