WE’RE giving the country incrementalism all the while we talk about frogs in pots. Turn the heat way up. I’m willing to live with what happens.

I’m not with you on that all or nothing kind of thinking. If you can’t get everything or nearly everything you want, then let it fall into shambles.

I don’t remember doing that, perhaps you did and feel terrible about it. Don’t project your errors on me.

If the Republicans lose this Nov., the fault will land squarely on the shoulders of Rush and the other talk radio hacks.

They tried selling us a fraud, while passing over true conservatives like Fred and Huckabee. Romney is not a conservative in any definition of the word. He's a absolute fraud. A fifth grader could figure that out.

Think about it, they convinced a good percentage of Americans, that a man, who is as liberal as Hillary, is actually a conservative. The amount of power they hold is very scary.

Make no mistake about, these hacks were shilling for Myth Romney from the beginning, and they almost succeeded.

That sounds very much like “the end justifies the means”. I don’t buy it.

Then you get to win a lot less than the other guy.

Staying home on election day is de-facto support for the democrats and you know it.

And voting for McCain is de-facto support for the GOP to keep financing, fostering, promoting and shoving RINOs down our throats and you know it.

YOU think, instead of doing what they tell you "is best".

Interesting that he was only fit for politics after that. I didn’t know that about Corzine, but I’ll look it up.

Having dealt with customers in business and politics, it seems that if you can’t run a company, you run a government instead. A variation on ‘If you can’t do, teach’.

I think what Rush is saying is true - the GOP leadership just embraced too many facets of “liberal” beliefs - tolerance, diversity, accomodation - that the Democrat Party itself never did. Now you’re hearing the sound of a big tent collapsing.

You and Rush are right, the Republican party has embraced too many facets of liberal beliefs. The only problem is that Romney has embraced more liberal beliefs than any other candidate. Somehow Rush mistook him for a conservative embraced him.

How could someone who claims to be so brilliant be so easily fooled?

Conservatives need to take a look hard look in the mirror, then regroup and frankly face the political realities of a changing electorate and respond by lighting a fire instead of cursing the darkness.

If we no longer stand up for smaller government, less interference and more freedom then what ARE we standing for?

The dems already have an agenda. We're them, but not so much?

I disagree. No matter how the media will twist the actual turnout, they will know he truth from all of the polling demographics they collect. Additionally, Conservatives need not stay home to voice their displeasure. They can vote on all other candidates and all public questions and not vote for a president (lower case intentional; none of the Presidential candidates deserves an upper case letter). This is guaranteed to screw up the pollsters for many election cycles.

He wasn’t fooled. Romney was just the best last standing man. Romney does not have contempt for conservatives, Romney did not give us the finger. Romney did not call us nativists, racists nor tell us to calm down. Romney did not try to shove a scamnesty bill down our throat in the cover of night so the people could be “none the wiser”.

You are being manipulated into de-facto support for the liberals and you are swallowing every bit of it hook, line, and sinker.

De-facto support of liberalism if I don't vote for McCain, outright embrace of liberalism if I do vote McCain.

Don't you see? There is no win here.

... and you think the Mormon Bishop, Myth Romney is a Conservative? He's a liberal hack and a fraud. I'm glad he's gone!

When will you guys wake up and realize that Rush is also a fraud? By his own definition, he's not a true conservative.

How far did we advance conservatism in 1994? How about in 2000? 2004?

It's like advocating that I stay with a man who beats me because he provides me food, clothing and shelter.

I'd rather be out on the streets.

I didn’t say a damned thing about Mitt Romney in my post.

How relevant do you think the Republican party is going to be when millions of socialists are going to be added to the government trough and to the democrat party? Is that your definition of a true conservative?

And voting for a man who surrounds himself with left-wing organizations including George Soros’...is that your definition of a true conservative?

So let me get this straight. If you want $2.00 and I offer $1.00, you’ll not take it because you didn’t get everything you wanted?

Um, no. It's more like hiring the GOP Landscape Service to take care of your yard. Every year their price increases and/or their service diminishes. This year, they sent Juan McCain. You would rather have that Fred guy tend your lawn. Heck, even that Mitt guy would probably do a decent job. But instead they keep sending Juan.

Juan is surly and unresponsive. He won't cut the lawn or apply weedkiller. Instead, Juan is actually trying to plant dandelions and thistles. You complain and threaten to terminate their service.

The management over at GOP says you have take Juan - there is no other choice. Remember - they tell you - your lawn will only look worse if you use Donkey's Lawn & Garden instead because they use twice as much thistle.

Why choose either service if the only difference is the degree of weeds the produce?
