I'll be voting for McCain in November, but can we please agree that those who decide they cannot vote McCain should be respected for their decision as well?

Agree to disagree and doing it in a cordial manner? Many have been thru this before, too many times..
This is no different than what we went thru in 2003 and the California Recall, imo .. and we all know what that abomination turned into.
as to your question,
We’ll see. ;-)

I can respect them for their decision, while at the same time knowing that decision hurts the cause they claim to be fighting for, and will leave them marginalized.

I completely agree that everyones vote is individual. I plan to vote, and support McCain, and will donate soon, but have no expectations that anyone else feels the same way.
I do think that those that go to "the other side", and start endorsing either Obama, or Hillary (to keep our party clean) do however deserve our scorn.

Great, but expect any respect in return.

Oh,...sure. Not a problem. And we must also agree that those who decide they cannot vote McCain, and Hillary and Obama wins and the results are catastrophic for four plus years, must take responsibility for their actions to enable it. And vice versa.
cheers.

I am not a fan of McCain, but will be voting for him as well. I want a Republican in the Whitehouse. As far as respect, it goes two ways. Those around here who cannot vote for him, should also respect us that will vote for him.

You are man without character and conviction.
You have been eviscerating people who wanted to vote for a FAR more conservative man that John McCain and now you want to respect people who OPPOSE A CERTAIN CANDIDATE??
Your motives have always been clear to me but now you do not even try to hide them.
Guess what JuannyZ, John McCain is not pro-life when it comes to stem cells AND supporting the pro-abortion liberals running for Republican offices around this country AND he does not HATE GAY PEOPLE.
You are going to cast your vote for a man that is far more liberal that Mitt Romney ever even thought about being.

I will hold my nose and vote for McCain, but I will vote. Anyone who sits on their hands to "send a message" will have my contempt.

***Interesting question. The answers from lockstep republicans will be: NO. Because McCain has an R in front of his name.
Look, a piece of dog doo with an R in front of it, let’s vote for it.

no...that would be so foolish. A knee jerk reaction for not getting the whole pie...so just throw the pie in the gutter. The war and the supreme court appointees are huge, if we are going to be mad about the faults of McCain rather than working with his good qualities, that’s going to cause us to lose a critical election.

I am less concerned about whether someone decides to vote for, or against McCain, than I am the proliferation of childish name calling instead of taking him to task on the issues. That goes for anyone we may oppose.

I hope you are correct, in that we can and will agree to disagree in an agreeable manner. I know I feel your vote is yours to cast or not as you see fit. It does get tiresome around this "conservative forum" however with the "we" (Republicans) vs. "them" (Democrats) arguments. Personally I wish a pox on both their houses.
Watch the threads as time goes by. I hope you won't see it but I am sure there will be enough invective being hurled around that unfortunately will not be the answer either one of us would hope for amongst adults.
