McCain did not believe anything he was forced to say in that pathetic speech he gave today. I will never vote for another phony Conservative like John McCain.

You are right, he says “character and quality” that only refers to the personality not the belief in original intent.

I do think that those that go to "the other side", and start endorsing either Obama, or Hillary (to keep our party clean) do however deserve our scorn.

I'm with you on that one. I haven't decided what to do about McCain, but if I don't vote for him, it certainly won't be because I'm voting for Hillary or Obama. Even if I end up leaving president blank, I'll still be voting R for Congress.

When the rats win it will be the fault of McCain and those who tried to strong arm others into supporting the weakest possible candidate. The candidate the dems and the MSM wanted.

Why abandon any shred of principle or decency for nothing? It can.t even be rationalized by the cynical claim that the end justifies the means. With such a weak candidate, it's clear what the outcome is.

I’ll look for them tomorrow. Someone else had posted a whole list of anti conservative votes by McCain, in a post to me. It was last week, though.

I’ll be voting for McCain in November, but can we please agree that those who decide they cannot vote McCain should be respected for their decision as well?

Just recieved this from Cornyn tonite:

Dear Xxx,

I wanted to tell you personally about a conversation that I had with Senator McCain earlier today before his CPAC speech.

In this time of war and economic uncertainty, America must have strong, principled leadership. The first and foremost priority of the federal government is National Security, and, we must have a President who will do what is needed to protect America and the American people. It is imperative that we have a Commander in Chief who will not bow to pressure when the political waters become rough. As a fellow member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, I have witnessed John McCain’s principled leadership on critical national security issues.

I, like most of you, am deeply concerned with wasteful and excessive Washington spending, and I have also worked side by side with John McCain taking on special interests and fighting the tough battles on behalf of the American taxpayer. While it is true that we have had some principled disagreements on some issues, including certain areas of immigration reform, John McCain is a man of principle and conviction. He shares my deep commitment to reaching a comprehensive solution to immigration reform and I look forward to working with him on this issue when he is President.

With the recent decision by a number of the other candidates to step aside, now is the time for the Republican Party to come together and stand behind Senator McCain. For these reasons, I am honored to endorse him for President of the United States today and will do whatever I can to support his candidacy.

Sincerely,

John Cornyn

“I... am deeply concerned”

Where have I heard/read that line before?

Oh yeah... That dork from Dakota... Daschel.

I’m not buying RINO detergent any more...

I trust Ron Paul’s extra-strength conservative soap to remove those stubborn liberal sh*t stains off my clothes.

***Interesting question. The answers from lockstep republicans will be: NO. Because McCain has an R in front of his name.

Look, a piece of dog doo with an R in front of it, let’s vote for it.

no...that would be so foolish. A knee jerk reaction for not getting the whole pie...so just throw the pie in the gutter. The war and the supreme court appointees are huge, if we are going to be mad about the faults of McCain rather than working with his good qualities, that’s going to cause us to lose a critical election.

I’d rather have John McCain in the the White House than Billary or Obama? At least he’llproperly support the troops and appoint pro-life ,pro-American judges to the bench.

According to the Chinese calender,it is indeed the year of the rat,but remember the rat is so honored because it was one of the twelve animals that visited and comforted Bhudda(please check spelling)on his bed.
