No articles on here, I apologize. I just wanted to bring a little bit of opinionated discussion in at this point, now that we stand on the brink of setting American back 4-8 years...
The conservative candidates are out of race, and it looks like it's McCain or bust. How many of you will close your eyes and vote for McCrazy over Obama or Hillary, in order to do minimal damage to America over the next preidential term...and how many of you will sit home and watch the sky fall?
Personally, I'll do just about anything to keep the Clintons at bay, including vote for John McCain.
Bust.
Gore is and was then an idiot who almost single-handedly would have destroyed the liberal arm of the democratic party. Many passed on the opportunity he provided us to elect a man who has almost single-handedly helped to destroy the conservative arm of the republican party. That’s where we are for doing just as you suggest we do AGAIN this election. The RINO way is the way to hell. One-way ticket.
You want a President who trashed the 1st Amendment. Thank you.
It would help if someone bribed me with a year's supply of booze. :)
Let me see. McMarx vs. Hitlery. I want 2 year's worth of booze for a bribe.
McMarx vs. Liberal Inexperienced Obama. It's a coin-toss there.
I have no one to vote FOR.
For the first time in my long life my vote could be up for sale to the highest bidder.
I think the issues within the Party are changing, I think the youth of this country are open to different ideas, unfortunately some seem left leaning.
I’m not advocating leftist ideals, however our Country IS changing. It wasn’t too long ago that we had Racial divides and now we have Obama running for President.
Only time will tell, but I would rather live with what McCain leaves behind than the Dem’s. That is surely closer to hell.
You didn’t look at the link I pointed you to did you? I will never vote for McCain. Ever!
Kinda like we may need 4 years of a “Carter” to get our next “Reagan”.
Yes. I’m an old fashioned Conservative. Voting is a civic obligation. I am not expecting I will ever get to vote for the perfect candidate in my lifetime. I will vote for the lesser of two evils, just as I have lots of other times. I’m probably more enthusiastic about McCain than I was about Dole, and I voted for him.
I have zero doubt that McCain would be better than Hillary or Obama. I don’t think I can “teach the GOP a lesson”. And the lesson would likely cost me more than it is worth if it included increased taxes, gutting our health care system and replacing it with a canadian one, seeing the Constitution eroded even faster with Clinton whores on the bench of the SC and lower courts, and losing my gun rights after then next “gun violence” incidence.
I’m kinda relieved that this phase is over. I don’t really care much who the Donk’s nominate so I get to ignore politics for six months, until Sept, when I’ll try to convince the few people I know who are wobbling.
I am undecided if I’ll send Mac any money. I’m not a fat cat doner, so it’s not make or break for him either way. Today I’m thinking I’d rather invest in something with it, but I might feel more generous over the next few weeks, who knows.
I see it too. Very clearly.
How do you propose to 'hold his feet to the fire'? He doesn't give a flip what you think when he needs your vote, how do you think you're opinion is going to rate once he is in office?
"And fix our Rino problem in the mean time."
Sounds good, but what exactly do you mean? That is the answer every election cycle. Go ahead and hold your nose now and we'll 'fix' the problem before the next cycle. How's that working out for us? That is pretty much what has gotten us where we are today.
President McCain = democrat = President Clinton.
It gets to a point where it doesn’t matter.
“How do you propose to ‘hold his feet to the fire’? He doesn’t give a flip what you think when he needs your vote, how do you think you’re opinion is going to rate once he is in office?”
how did we stop amnesty when Bush tried?
Presidents are NOT all powerful.
Now, God forbid Obama gets in office.
Have a read, and feel the chill run down your spine...

Well, like it or not, McCain will be the only way to stop that kind of nightmare.
The war on terror and the supreme court.
We MUST stop the democrats from getting the white house.
There is no victory in giving up and losing.

Conservatives were distracted by the war and the traitorous actions of the democrats against our troops and fighting islamo facism, we got complacent for a long time. Now we got bit. We forgot to plan ahead.
We have to starting picking our OWN candidates early on, way before elections, get them out there with the conservative message and actions so they are familiar and known well before they run, and are TRUE consevatives.
Reagan was out there giving the speeches and helping elect conservatives afer he failed the first time.
He did it, we can do it too. Even in small ways matters.
I myself am going to start joining conservative groups and DO something meaningful that is goal oriented.
I am tired of the bitching, endless McCain bashing and defeatism some here seem to wallow in.
None of that helps conservatism, it helps democrats.
Voting is not enough, going Rah Rah to talk radio is not enough. Free Republic is not enough, a great rallying point yes, but we have to back up our words with actions.
We have to roll up our sleeves and work and put some money in the conservative kitty too.
And that is so much worse?
In the meantime- you vote for a liberal democrat wanna-be, enabling the leftist conversion/destruction of the GOP.
If we sit back this election, it could be the last opportunity for conservatives to stand. If we are going down, I say we go down in flames, fighting. Voting for McCain is a wave of the surrender flag to the Left.
That’s the truth!
No sh** Sherlock
"Its not about the Party its about the country."
I think it's about the Party.
Lula..Lula daSilva! Is that you?
Correction: CAN'T win.
Couldn't win even if his opponent turns out to be Hitlery.
