McCain or Bust...Conservatives, will you vote?

Posted on 02/07/2008 12:06:38 PM PST by WiseGuyF686

No articles on here, I apologize. I just wanted to bring a little bit of opinionated discussion in at this point, now that we stand on the brink of setting American back 4-8 years...

The conservative candidates are out of race, and it looks like it's McCain or bust. How many of you will close your eyes and vote for McCrazy over Obama or Hillary, in order to do minimal damage to America over the next preidential term...and how many of you will sit home and watch the sky fall?

Personally, I'll do just about anything to keep the Clintons at bay, including vote for John McCain.

I won't be fooled again.

Fooled? by who?

There hasn't been a true conservative nominee since Goldwater. It's not like the party has ~ever~ been as conservative as us out here. Never has been.

Problem is, conservatives then to want to be "all-or-nothing" voters. If we'd agree to move the ball a little at a time every election, we'd be in better shape. But as it is that's what the liberals do... and they're kicking our butts at it.

Tancredo should run as this 3rd party’s candidate.

No one has done more damage to America and freedom than McCain.

No way will I vote for the Marxist/liberal named McCain who has tried to destroy the Republican party and America by working for over a decade to give Amnesty to 30 million illegals and their families back in the 3rd world.

Then look at McCain-FeinGold which took away our freedom of speech:

http://www.news.com/The-coming-crackdown-on-blogging/2008-1028_3-5597079.html

Bradley Smith says that the freewheeling days of political blogging and online punditry are over.

In just a few months, he warns, bloggers and news organizations could risk the wrath of the federal government if they improperly link to a campaign’s Web site. Even forwarding a political candidate’s press release to a mailing list, depending on the details, could be punished by fines.

Smith should know. He’s one of the six commissioners at the Federal Election Commission, which is beginning the perilous process of extending a controversial 2002 campaign finance law to the Internet.

In 2002, the FEC exempted the Internet by a 4-2 vote, but U.S. District Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly last fall overturned that decision. “The commission’s exclusion of Internet communications from the coordinated communications regulation severely undermines” the campaign finance law’s purposes, Kollar-Kotelly wrote.

Smith and the other two Republican commissioners wanted to appeal the Internet-related sections. But because they couldn’t get the three Democrats to go along with them, what Smith describes as a “bizarre” regulatory process now is under way.

CNET News.com spoke with Smith about the Bipartisan Campaign Reform Act of 2002, better known as the McCain-Feingold law, and its forthcoming extrusion onto the Internet.

You seem to get angry like a little child because I typed some words on a screen. That’s cause the truth hurts you McCain shills.

I’m writing in Tancredo’s name.

No way will I vote for the Marxist/liberal named McCain who has tried to destroy the Republican party and America by working for over a decade to give Amnesty to 30 million illegals and their families back in the 3rd world. McCain wants all these illegals to be in the U.S. so he can increase the number of democrat voters and voters for socialism so he can destroy the GOP and make us all poor. That is his plan . That’s what he wants Amnesty and poverty of all except the elite at the top of the government. He’s a Marxist. look at his record. This is just one example.

Then look at McCain-FeinGold which took away our freedom of speech. They can Use McCain-FeinGold even to shut down FreeRepublic and conservative blogs. Bush hasn’t done it but McCain or Hillary will use this unconstitutional law to crack down on blogging and talk radio, PROOF:

I think you misunderstood me. I was agreeing with the poster who said that he/she planned to vote for the conservatives in the other races, just not for the president. I was hoping that a dislike of the choices for president wouldn't keep people away from voting for the rest of the races!
Or perhaps you are so angry that you don't want to fight for conservatives in Congress or your local/state government???

McCain is a Washington ‘heavy lifter’ who answers to the interests more than the will of the people.

We should gather the brightest legal minds and write up a legal contract that states something like this.

In order for us to support you Mr. McCain, you must agree (legally) to close and secure the borders immediately once elected, Use civilian authorities besides governors to certify them secure, prosecute businesses who hire illegals, and gradually deport illegals as humanely possible.

You must put a stop to the North American Union, and Mexican trucks entering the border.

You must pardon Ramos & Campeon, and publicly encourage border agents to be aggressive in their work, and complete the double layer fence.

You must come out publically and announce that George Bush was wrong on his immigration policy.

Now, I wouldn’t trust McCain on any issue so maybe some of you out there can add non immigration issues to this.

And if we support McCain there has to be a penalty of some kind.

This is the only action that could even begin to make me consider him for president.

Now, McCain has made countless promises in the last few days that meets or exceeds Fred Thompsons position on the border.

Lets use those promises against him!

Time and again, he's proved he's dishonorable, a liar and a fraud. I will not become part of the sick drama that has been the career of John McCain and the GOP for the last twelve years by voting for McCain.

Well said.

The outcome of the election is already written. The media gave us McCain, now they will destroy him. And the old fool has no idea what's in store.

It looks as though Hillary is the next president. She'll do a lot of damage in four years. She learned all about Executive Orders from her bimbo husband, and won't bother going to Congress for her really important agenda items.

The old media adores her. She'll return them to power by locking down the internet and reinstating the Fairness Doctrine. I'm betting it takes her less than a year.

Good point. I agree with that. I just don't want to move the ball backwards. I'll find a team that wants to move the ball forwards, because my last team did not want to. Any progress made with them, was in spite of them, not because of them.

It's good you care about the WOT. It's a pity McCain doesn't. After all, how serious on the WOT can any man be who wants to maintain open borders, shut down GITMO and actively works against aggresive methods of interrogation?

I will not vote for McCain. Period. I will either skip the POTUS part of the ballot, or will vote for “someone else”.

If a 3rd party candidate emerges that I at least somewhat agree with - they will get my vote.

The best way to fix the RINO problem is to stop voting for them. When RINOs lose elections, they’ll know to tack right.

-------------------------- Ding, ding, ding, ding ... we have a winner.

Don Pardo, tell Def what he's won.

YOU'VE just won four years of watching the old GOP bastards who sold our country down the river having to answer to Obama or Hilary. Now that's entertainment.

McCain disgusts me, I can’t stand anything about McCain, he makes me sick to my stomach, he is a liar, he is a traitor to the party, he is NOT a conservative, his beliefs are not my beliefs, he cheated to get as far as he has, he is insane- truly a craven lickspittle, he gave up his integrity, he has no credibility, he will be dangerous for our country and an embarrassment to conservatives.

BUT, as to the question, we will have to see....frankly, I am no longer sure of what I will do.

Why prolong the agony? I will vote locally but not for a RINO who will make the other RINO’s think everything is just fine. Let it hit the fan and be done with it. Read II Timothy 3:1-12. We will win in the long run.
