You can never tell with a crazy man who lies as much as McCain. About the only thing we can tell is that McCain will not protect our borders, will fight for massive amnesty, and will admit terrorists and gang members to this country. Almost as if he is under the control of some foreign agents. He has no loyalty to this country.
What if McCain goes really crazy while in office?

I supported Cheney. He didn't run. I supported Hunter. He dropped out. I supported Thompson. He dropped out. I held my nose and supported Romney. He dropped out. I'm going to support O'bama next - maybe I can keep the streak alive!
Exactly where I'm at (and throw the Patriots in as gravy to the anti-midas touch streak I'm on) except I was thinking I'd target the beast next.

I think we will need a couple of “bouncers” tonight!

How stupid do you have to be to list Romney (a RINO) in the same class as Fred Thompson (a true Conservative?)
Romney was only slightly better than McCain anyway. The party was hosed when Hunter and Thompson dropped out.
Your basic premise is right, though. We were too fractured to rally around a good candidate so we were handed a bad one by all of the blue states.
Yay team.

Rush doesn’t have all the votes. It was the American voter the struck. You have been suckered.

“Conservatism is not a passing fad or fashion that goes in and out of style as zeitgeist winds may blow”
True...
But it HAS been succsessfully rebranded by our opponents on the left, and in the MSM. And as the Reagan Conservatives have aged, thier are fewer of us who remember what “PROPOGANDA” really is.
The media has succsessfully turned the word Conservative into hate-word, along with Christian.
They have pigeon-holed anyone supporting a Conservative agenda as a Bible-thumping hick living in a trailer, driving a pickup with a Confederate flag on it, while looking for blacks to run down on the way to the NASCAR race...
Of ALL of the nominees this year, JUST ONE, Mitt Romney, had the ability to deliver a message in a way that the MSM could actually filter through to the Sheeple, but our own own Identity Politics killed him...
In a large part, WE created this mess....

The Not So Great Dane has won - now Hillary or Obama will win. At least Rush and others had the guts to stand up. You, well, you are a twirp. Sour grapes do not make a good political diet, Mark.
Like I stated, maybe you all should look at your sales tactics, for your failure, and not to blame everyone else and their dog, for your bitterness.

From one long time FReeper to another: You're dead RIGHT! Spot on!...the problem here is that Rush, like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton believe themselves spokesmen for all African-Americans, Limbaugh really believes himself the "mind, soul and voice of conservatism" and speaking for all of us. In reality, he's nothing more than a bag of ill wind for those who don't share his philosophy.
I'll give him this: He's extremely talented and entertaining, however, because he sought a 4-F draft deferment from Vietnam due of a minor cyst on his butt, he'll never have my respect.

“Rush and the conservative punditry picked the wrong horse. They decided to make a conservative savior out of a flip-flopping Massachusetts liberal while tar and feathering a far more conservative candidate in Mike Huckabee.”
This is complete nonsense. Rush and all picked no one for months, and merely discussed the positions of various candidates. Then, they began to speak favorably of Fred (remember him?) for weeks until he dropped out. Only then did they begin to speak most favorably of Romney, and a few days before Super Tuesday, several said they would vote for him.
They spoke favorably of Romney for a couple of weeks or less. They hardly pick him as their candidate, but settled on him the final week or so before Super Tuesday.
Huckabee could most accurately be described as a Christian Socialist, hardly a conservative.
Remember, illegal immigrants are our chance to make up for slavery?

I disagree in principle. They were
trying to do what
we all knew had to be done: UNITE THE MOVEMENT.
Where it went wrong is that A said "Unite around Hunter!," B said "Unite around Thompson!," and HH said "Unite around Romney!"
We saw the need to unite. We just couldn't do it.
