I voted for Fred in NYS on Tuesday. Unfortunately, McCain was ahead of Romney 60%+ to 20% and Mitt had no chance here at all. He didn’t campaign here. Didn’t open an office here. I decided to vote for my guy once. That said, Romney would have been my pick over McCain or Huckabee.

I will remind some here that when Fred dropped out, they jumped on that thread gleefully - just as others are doing the same here.

In either case, it isn’t appreciated.

I’m glad you enjoyed my post; maybe you will think about it.
We now end up with a candidate far more liberal than any other that was running in the primaries.
John McCain, the Democrat in Republican clothing.

Gosh, I think Foxnews just gave Mitt more coverage than they gave him the rest of the entire campaign.

I would think that “christians” of all people would forgive and forget and have given him a chance.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Little Christian bashing going on

Maybe you dont know this

But Christianity and forgiveness work this way

If someone REPENTS and asks forgiveness then

Christians are to forgive Luke 17:3, 4

RINO Romney has not REPENTED

He still reserves the right to flip...

He did such an awesome speech. Delivered with such sincerity. Romney is a class act for certain. Good honest family man. We lost out big time on the only candidate who could have won and done the right things for our country.

They did the same thing to Fred when he dropped out.

Come on now. He may have mentioned that as a reason for dropping out and it does have some viability. But it wasn't the biggest reason

For whatever reason, he's going to give McCain a chance to build up assets for November instead of blowing them during the remainder of the primary schedule. Meanwhile, Hillary and Obama are going to possibly be burning lib/Dem cash right up the the convention - which is that much less money for the general.

It's really up to McCain now. If he can get over himself and build bridges to the right, I think he can win. If he reverts to form, it's a tossup.

the FACT is that with each cut in this primary the MOST conservative of the candidates goes.........huck is next then we get mccain..........it’s being etched in stone now.

It may have been unintentional, but Fred did more to cause the present situation than any other candidate.

I am a Romney supporter, but that is not a fair charge. The idiots in Iowa created the havoc to follow. More than any other electorate, it was the idiot seniors in Florida that ruined Mitt's chances. Any reasonable person on FR will recall that Florida was the ballgame.

We have a loser in November, with a slight chance of defeating Clinton and essentially zero chance of defeating Obama, and an Obama presidency is very dangerous for the nation.

300 million people in America and conservatives can vote for McCain, Obama or Hillary. Anyone think this is good?

I think Romney has become more conservative than he started out. He, more than Huckabee or McCain, made a greater effort to understand across the board conservatives. Let’s see what he does for the next few years.

I have been a “christian” 38 of my 47 years, and your way of thinking was not taught to me by my very conservative parents or my Southern Baptist upbringing... Thank goodness.

It wasn’t his position it was how he changed his position for Political expediency... Hell he could have been like Rudy at least I respected Rudy’s honesty even though I did not agree with his social positions...

Anyway your so sure that Mitt would have beaten Obama or Hillary... I highly doubt it Mitt could never convert the Middle... However, McCain might piss you off for not being a pure ideologue conservative that says my way or the highway but he gets moderates and some Conservative Liberals..

Out of power you have no chance for your positions to advance... In power you do ... Incase you missed the last time Conservatives divided and Ross Perot/Bush 41 allowed Clinton into power the result of which..

3000 Americans lost their lives on 911...

Next time you fail to support the candidate God knows what could happen.

And he ran for the Presidency in 76. Given you and your cronies’ attacks, there is very little doubt that you would have been tearing him apart for “flip-flopping” and being a closet dem 14 years prior.

Reagan was Gov of CA as a Republican in the 60’s

Reagan publicly said the worse thing he ever did was sign an abortion law ands he was sorry he did so

Reagan was a true conservative all his life

Reagan was never a “closet dem”

Reagan was out front in his dealings with the Republican party...

I voted for Reagan twice and I have never regreted it...
