Ok, the GOP is heading for disaster this November.
Just for the sake of conversation who do people like for president in 2012? Here is a list of conservatives who might make a race out of 2012:
General David Petraeus
Senator John Thune
Senator John Ensign
Senator Jim DeMint
Governor Don Carcieri
Governor Mark Sanford
Governor Bobby Jindal
Governor Haley Barbour
Oh, and how about replacing Iowa and New Hampshire in the Republican nomination with more reliably conservative medium sized states such as Colorado and Nevada going first and second respectively and allowing ONLY registered Republicans to vote in the primary?
Who's your Vice President?
Dennis Prager
Dennis would be cool. I like his show - I always learn something.
Don’t forget,
Gen. Tommy Franks (Ret)....
No, but it’s rare.
The guy willing to punch Arnold......LOL!
See my thread on 2012 and the end of the world, it doesn’t matter who’s running ;)
I too think Jindal needs two terms. A one-term governor doesn’t have enough national credibility, I think.
National Review did name him "Nation's Best Governor." This was in 2002, which was ages ago in dog and politician years.
Owens left the Colorado GOP a mess. He lost the legislature to the Dems on his watch and he withdrew his support for an experienced pol in favor of moneybags Pete Coors in a senate race. He's now divorced, too, after persistent rumors he has a lovechild somewhere.
I kept thinking of another issue, only to find you had it covered.
Appoint Fred Thompson to the Supreme Court, and you’ve got my vote. :)
Oh please, not yet!!
Senator Inhofe has really caught my attention recently.
I'd like Fred for my VP but don't want him dealing with Arnold...........Supreme Court it is! LOL!
Put me in the Jindal camp.
Too bad I guess we can keep looking.
I am ready for Bobby Jindal, he’s not just a conservative but also the new fresh blood we desperately need at the GOP.
I wonder who should be his VP.... what about Mitt Romney?
Jindal/Romney 2012?? It doesn’t sound crazy to have this ticket, specially since Obama will destroy the economy and will revive the late 70’s (Carter rings a bell?)
I know things are not going all good for McCain /Palin, but I am sure we still have a real possibility of winning in November.
Next time, we should be more involved in the Primary elections, and make sure that the BS Media doesn’t do his job in choosing a weak candidate for the GOP. Like many of you, I was disappointed when McCain won the Primaries but had great expectations after he went with Palin as his VP.
This general election, should be a lesson to all of us, we need to do the following.
1. Get INVOLVED WITH THE GOP AND THE CONSERVATIVE MOVEMENT.
2. Teach our fellow Americans about the real consequences of Communist and Socialist Economics, make sure they learned what happened with the USSR and what’s currently happening in Cuba, Venezuela, North Corea, etc.
3. Teach them about the issues in regards Abortion, Religious Freedom, 2nd. Amendment rights.
4. Re-educate and act as a counter action against the leftists socialist education currently being taught at the schools at all levels (elementary, middle schools, high schools and specially at the College level)
5. Stop watching the BS Media (NBC, CNN, CBS, ABC), I know it’s hard, but we have to do it if we want them to cave and stop spreading their Leftist Ideology. If we loose this election, won’t be because Obama has done nor because McCain hasn’t done enough, it will be because of the BS Media helping Obama and the Left.
6. Fight and expose ALL the leftist groups, specially ACORN.
7. Promote and participate at your communities.
and finally......
LISTEN TO CONSERVATIVE RADIO, READ CONSERVATIVE BOOKS AND WATCH CONSERVATIVE MEDIA.. NOW MORE THAN EVER WE NEED TO BE INFORM AND WE NEED TO SUPPORT OUR FELLOW AMERICANS FIGHTING THE LIBERAL MEDIA.
THINGS WILL BE FINE, IT WILL JUST TAKE SOME TIME, BUT WE WILL EXPELLED THE LEFT FROM OUR COUNTRY.
Agreed!
Palin will be 48 in 2012.
Petraeus will be 60 in 2012.
Pawlenty will be 60 in 2012.
Sanford will be 52 in 2012.
Hunter will be 64 in 2012.
