Fold The Tent Conservatives
The Bulletin ^ | 02/06/2008 | Michael P. Tremoglie

If Limbaugh, Dobson and the rest are not going to vote Republican because they might not like Republican nominee does this mean they are going to move out of the country if and when Hillary/Obama are elected - like Alec Baldwin promised to do when Bush was elected?

It will re-open once you “progressives” allow the country to fold.

I'm here to tell you, if either of these two guys [McCain or Huckabee] get the nomination, it's going to destroy the Republican Party. It's going to change it forever, be the end of it."

What part of that statement is untrue?..Rush is a Conservative, regardless of what the Republican Party does

I'm the person you bitched at for indicating a hand gesture is in order for the author, that's who. To wit, Like I said if you people want to get insulting rather than address the issues I can play that game too.

If you are not the author, then I reiterate: Blow.

We have other National offices, we have State offices, we have local offices, we have questions on the ballot, bonding issues. The top slot is probably the least important, and is also the one office we don’t get to vote for anyway.

You came to my thread I didn’t come to yours.

Your thread? Yours? What's the owner of this website that allows you to post whatever drivel you like, chopped liver?

Get over yourself, or you'll have a chest-grab.

Sorry, but the events of the last eight years negate these types of arguments (not that all of us bought them before, either).

No, I’m going to stay for Revolution II.

I've been saying we need another one since the 60s.

Your Question
“1. How much worse than Carter can Hillary or Obama do?”

I’ll tell you how much worse - That party is built on HATE. Theyll come after the Conservatives with a vengeance. They HATE the FACT of our guns. They HATE the FACT of our independence. They HATE the FACT of our faith. The HATE the FACT of Talk Radio. The HATE the FACT of Free Republic. They HATE the FACT of ANYTHING we stand for and believe in.

You think we’ll ANY First Amendment case in a Supreme Court stacked with socialist Liberals, when they pass a law to shut down talk radio and sites like Free Republic? Because THAT’s who a Democommie will nominate, and with a compliant Congress of neutered Republicans and vengeful Dems, we’ll have NO say in the matter.

And they’ll have the coercive power of THE LAW behind them to do whatever they want. They’ll MAKE the damned laws any way they want. Have you all forgotten Waco, Ruby Ridge, Elian Gonzalez etc.,? THAT’S what the Dems do - they use FORCE to accomplish what the LAW allows them to do.

NOT vote Republican because of McCain??? Then go ahead and vote for Hitlery or the radical closeted “I used to be a Muslim But Now I’m A Christian” who won’t put his hand over his heart when the National Anthem is played. It’s the same thing.

Maybe the GOP deserves to lose; BUT THE COUNTRY DOESN’T. Not everyone knows what is going on in the country; not everyone understands the depth of the socialist insurgency that the Lefties are waging through the Democrat party. People are busy running their lives, trying to deal with everyday issues of paying the bills, caring for family, living and dying, etc., and for the most part are unconscious of all this.

WE understand it, because we’re out here paying attention and ringing bells. How long did it take each of us to wake up to this? Every single Freeper out here can name at least 20 people that they personally know that has NO clue. So it’s up to US to alert people, and wake them up.

I was a Fred Thompson supporter - but he QUIT.

Duncan Hunter was next in line for me, but he got no support. Where were all the Conservatives to support him?

I don’t like McCain either; he’s a gun-grabber, a nasty, petty little man who spent the last eight years plotting and scheming this, but the issue is being decided FOR us, no matter what we say. Thank whoever is running the GOP for that. Find THEM, and purge THEM, and take our party back. Read Saul Alinsky’s book Rules for Radicals (if you can stomach reading commie trash) - but he put it best - “If you want to change things YOU BE THE DELEGATES. YOU nominate the front runner.”

GET INTO THE GOP SYSTEM AND TAKE IT BACK, throw the G-damned RINOs out and build it back up.

A Republican win at the White House may have the benefit of spilling over to the Congress. We should concentrate our efforts there, so that if McCain tries to push ANY leftie agenda, our people there can stop it. We’re being PURPOSELY distracted by the Presidential run and not paying enough attention to the Congressional and Senate elections.

First: This isn’t over by a long-shot.
Second: Since when do we, as Conservatives, as AMERICAN PATRIOTS whine and cry and stay home? THAT does NOT do the COUNTRY any good. Roll over and let the Democommies walk away with this? I wasn’t raised that way. FIGHT for what you believe in and make it happen.

Everyone stop whining. Stand the F*** up and LEAD. We NEED to win this damned election - and EVERY Damned election. If it’s McCain, then so be it. We’ll hold Congress to gridlock, and then hold his damned feet to the fire and block everything he tries if it’s not to OUR liking.

ANYTHING is better than Hillary. And Obama is as far to the Left as she is, if not further.
Someone a few posts back mentioned “Revolution II”. You want it, you’ll get it with the Dems in there. You want a Cold War, we’ll have that with McCain.

Argue all any of you want. It’s reality. I will NEVER sit out an election. Too many people DIED for that RIGHT, as they died for ALL American rights.

The COUNTRY doesn’t deserve the Clinton Years over again. We can’t afford it.

Unless you all want the Union of Soviet Socialist States of America. Because THAT’s what the Dems want. THAT’s what the RINOs want too.

YOU’RE willing to “risk it?” This is NOT a game. This is our frigging COUNTRY on the line, and everything our families fought and bled and DIED for. I’m NOT willing to risk it.

As I’ve said - I dont like the guy AT ALL, but if he beats the commie party and gets in, we hold his ass accountable for EVERYTHING, and block him where we can.

Time for OUR radicals to take the stage.

Whatever. I’m sick to my stomach of the whole damned affair, but I’ll be DAMNED if I’ll let the democommie bastards walk away with this by staying home.

This is MY country. I’ll not give it up so easily.

Hey, there’s a brilliant idea! Let’s just hand the whole government over to the Democrats for good! That’ll teach ‘em!

Because socialism will be so much better if administered by someone with an (R) after their name, right?

When there ceases to be a difference between the parties or a benefit to voting Republican, then it is time for a third party. I'm not there yet, but your logic is doing nothing to keep me in line.

I predict this year and the winter quarter of 09 will be prosperous for sellers of guns, ammo, medicine and medical/dental operations. Don’t put off to a future period what may not be available then.

By the way, tell me which of the following areas I should pick McCain over Hillary on:
1. Supreme Court appointments.
2. Stopping illegal immigration.
3. Diminishing the federal governments control of education.
4. Personal liberties (like free speech).
5. Abortion.

I even doubt there would be much difference on the war or on total spending. McCain wants a lower deficit, but he’s more than happy to raise taxes to get there.

How about if Hillary just runs as a Republican? Should we all vote for her then, so as not to weaken the party?

I’m no RINO, my friend. I’m an American, a Conservative, and A Republican, in THAT order. But I absolutely CANNOT bear the thought of HER and her husband in name only back in the control seat. They are absolute SCUM and should have been brought up on Treason charges.

Nobody had the balls, though.

And say what you want about that party, THEY know it’s about winning elections and getting control. It’s the way they operate.

We seem to just beat the hell out of each other. That’s not unity.

One team, one fight. THEN we iron out the differences.

Like I said - McLame isn’t my idea of the perfect candidate. THAT for me was Barry Goldwater and Ronald Reagan.

We have what we have.

>> Are you aware that Bush was the first, in 2004, to get at least 50% since Reagan in ‘84? <<

No, Bush in 1988. And I addressed making sure that any 3rd party doesn’t draw more from the Republican vote.

>> We don’t usually get an outright majority. <<

2004. 1988. 1984. 1980. 1976. 1972. 1964. 1956. 1952. 1944. 1940. 1936. 1932...

And most of the other years (2000, 1996, 1960, 1948) someone got 49%.

You are forgetting that we conservatives voted for Geo. Bush 1 against our judgement so that there would be a winner. We got souter out of it.

We also got Clarence Thomas out of it. When Bill was president, he turned the judicial appointments over to Hillary and we got Ruth Bader-Ginsberg.

I can assume we will have liberal skanks nominated to the supremes when dems are in office. I do not have to feel like my support went to nominating a souter to the court like McCain will do. I would rather have my anger burn against my enemy rather than feel the knife in my back from a MCcain.
