Our first choice, Rudy Giuliani, did not win. He ran a campaign with a risky strategy and it didn't work. But our number two choice did win...John McCain. McCain came in second in a survey of our membership.
While he is personally "pro life" he has time and again reached out and worked with people across the spectrum. We know we can work with him to create common ground that will allow moderates and conservatives to come together to rebuild the GOP.
RFC joins with Rudy Giuliani in asking our supporters to consider McCain as they go to vote over the next few weeks.
John is a true American hero with strong and consistent values. He will provide the leadership that will rebuild America's confidence in itself and among our allies worldwide.

It's people like YOU that blow it by backing Romney instead of Huckabee, who FAR more conservative. If by 'conservative' you mean 'one who makes back room deals with McCain', then yes, Huckabee is FAR more conservative.

Huckabee’s record is far more conservative than Romney and I won’t have ANY problem proving that if you like.

Hey raising taxes is JMCCs definition of conservative also.

I don't care how conservative you wish to claim Huckabee is. I could never vote for him after what he and McCain pulled in WVa.
He's had ethics issues in the past, as has been shown in a number of articles on FR. That little stunt only proved to me what a smarmy jerk he really is.

Romney raised fees/taxes more per year than Huckabee. Huckabee left his state with surplus and cut taxes more. Romney pushed through a socialized health care plan that has cost the taxpayers hundreds of millions of dollars.

I think you posted this to the wrong person, It’s Ol’ Sparky that is arguing that Hucjkabee is conservative, that link shows he raised endless numbers of taxes, a serious issue for me, and wait till McCain reaches across the isle.

Its Ol Sparky that is arguing that Hucjkabee is conservative You lack reading comprehension. I argued that Huckabee IS conservative on many issues and FAR more conservative than Romney. Yes, social issue and gun rights are part of the equation.
Huckabee cut taxes extensively, too, and left his state with a surplus while Willard raised taxes more per year and left his state with massive expenditures due to his socialized health care plan.
