Just reported on tv. Also said Romney to meet at campaign headquarters tomorrow to have "frank discussion" about future of campaign.
Good grief. Tactically I would like Romney to limp along for a while to continue to split the vote, so we have a better shot at a brokered convention.
But I am sick to death of hearing Romney's extreme shortcomings as a candidate being blamed on rabid anti-Mormon hysteria. These constant accusations are proof of how difficult it would be to hold a President Romney's feet to the fire on conservative issues. Any criticism of him would be met with screams of victimhood and bigotry from fellow party members. Ugh.
Ouch.
Yup...and all those rumors about Fred (supposedly linked to the huckster's campaign) just being in the race to help McCain - look who's really helping McLame!
The party already has moved too far to the left. When you had frontrunners named Mitt, Huck , Rudy and McCain, that means it no longer is a home for conservatives.
No. What happened was some conservative idiots voted for Huck instead of rallying to Romney and saddled us with McCain as the presumptive nominee.
Note to the fools for Huck:
Im sorry but you are not in your right mind. Youre nuts. Youve been warned, by Rush, by the rest of the conservative movement, by other freepers, that Huckabee was not a conservative in so many ways, that his pardons and his lousy ethics and his tax hikes and big-govt spending and pro-amnesty positions and populist pronouncements and foreign policy igno-babble were the ugly reality behind a slicker than a greased salmon Clintonesque mirage.
You didnt listen.
You have voted for unqualified unconservative unelectable unserious Huckster and have delivered the nomination to John McCain.
a punishment and retribution on the Republicans and conservatives will follow from this ClusterHuck that you delivered:
#1 will be when McCain is our ticket.
#2 will be when he loses to the Clinton/Obama ticket.
A new party, where we continue to fight a unified dem. party? Our issues will be banished to the wilderness forever.
I want a president that retains a pulse.
Maybe I’ll write in Dick Cheney, my ORIGINAL hope.
Honestly, I think the party wants us gone and is willing to sit out 4 years if needed, so they can clean house.
NO
No.
McCain is the nominee.
God help us.
McCain is an old, corrupt, dumb, lifelong pol.
“Its gonna be up to Huck to stop the McCainiac. Can he do it?
McCain will get beaten in November. Huckabee would be slaughtered. It’d be bad. Walter Mondale, bad.
> It’s not just McCain. Before that Guiliani was the devil, then Romney, then Huckabee, then McCain. In fact hatred has been poured out on each and every front runner. <
Oh, let’s go back a bit more. Remember a little word, “macaca”? Oh, there were many on this forum who fell over themselves to pile onto George Allen because he made a mistake, then because he apologized (and actually, he probably did make a mistake in kowtowing to the media and the Dems).
Had the GOP not been so hasty to heave Allen overboard, we may have at least had one conservative who would have gone the distance in the primaries.
You McCainites are something else! You just ignore McCain’s whole political record to fixate on this Cult of Personality myth that because he wore the uniform he will be a good President!
Well LBJ and Jimmy Carter also wore the uniform. They turned out to be 2 or the worst Presidents ever.
The people who are voting for McCaine because he is a moderate who can be elected will really be surprised.
Come about friday..he is going to be the most ignorant, drunk, old, washed up hack that they could ever imagine.
The MSM will be on him like s on s.
Plus..he won’t get $5 for contributions from the grass roots. He will have to beg outside the Walmart in Coos Bay for money.
However..the real question is where you invest..we don’t have to participate in the conversion to a socialist banana republic.
We may have a bloody nose but we stood up to the bullies.
“What a crappy field of candidates we had this year.”
Which Republican waiting in the wings do you wish would have stepped forward and run?
(and please dont name a dead Republican.)
