It seems to me that the supporters of EVERY candidate are doing that to the other candidates. I've never seen Republicans yell at each other so much as during this election cycle.

Amen. Part of it is the paid trolls and shills that have infiltrated the forums in general - they make things seem worse than they really are. But part of it, I fear, is that we are truly witnessing the cracking-up of the Reagan coalition. Evangelicals sense they are being marginalized and country clubbers seem to be saying "don't let the door hit you on your way out".
