I like Rudy Giuliani. He was my second choice behind Thompson. I admit I disagreed with him greatly on gun control (though as a positive he did support the lawsuit against Washington DC’s gun ban). I agreed with him on abortion and gay rights. I’m not so sure what the business about “pro illegal alien rights” is, though I’m in favor of deporting them all.
Giuliani did have a very good record on cutting taxes, cutting red tape, cutting crime and controlling spending. His results as an executive, while not perfect, easily trump those of the other Republicans with executive experience (Huckabee and Romney), while McCain, Paul and (unfortunately my favorite) Thompson have no executive experience at all.
I don't mean to attack you, and you are certainly not the only one who has said it... But this is an AWSOME statement you just made. And people wonder why Social-Conservatives did not give a second look to Fred Thompson? And why we feel we are so incredibly divided with 'other' conservatives?
Just a reflexion of how different the two groups are... incredible.
