LONDON (AFP) - Britons are losing their grip on reality, according to a poll out Monday which showed that nearly a quarter think Winston Churchill was a myth while the majority reckon Sherlock Holmes was real.
The survey found that 47 percent thought the 12th century English king Richard the Lionheart was a myth.
And 23 percent thought World War II prime minister Churchill was made up. The same percentage thought Crimean War nurse Florence Nightingale did not actually exist.

Almost 3 times as many Americans believe in UFO’s (39%) than have a great deal or quite a lot of confidence in the Demoractic-led Congress (14%).
I just don’t understand how they could fall this far. Do they believe that WW2 was a theater production as well?
Oh give the Brits a break — the quarter that know nothing of Churchill? When Churchill was alive their ancestors lived in the mountains of Pakistan or in southern India.

I think it is more like ask a stupid question and get a stuid answer.
In the USA, these intellecual giants would be 100% democrat party voters on welfare.
