Mike Huckabee won the first of 21 GOP contests on Super Tuesday, pulling out a victory in the West Virginia Republican convention even though Mitt Romney won the first round.

The convention had to go into a second round of voting Tuesday after no candidate took a clear majority. Texas Rep. Ron Paul was knocked out in the first round, but Huckabee, Romney and John McCain moved forward.

What makes you think there was not a deal? I’ve learned to trust Rush and Rush himself is highly suspicious.

The same posters who warned you posters about the 06 elections, (including myself) are warning you and those that think like you once again.

If McCain is the nominee, there will be a landslide and it won’t favor the GOP.

Do you think that those delegates who represent their states will change their votes to another candidate at the convention?

I wouldn’t do any checking if I were you into where Huck is getting his $. If you did, you might learn something you don’t want to know.

I think ole Huck is hoping to win VP or a Washington position of power. Or, power has already gone to his head.

I have sure lost a lot of respect for him.

Oh, geez...do I have to explain it to you?

The Mainstream Media, most state governments, almost all local governments, the education system, the government bureaucracies?

Has Bush moved left during his presidency? Yes. Is he a true conservative?

what makes me laugh well cry is that this idiot chuck norris.

another one who helps minister huckerbee because of religion and the dems say we are a party of religious nuts weith no brains , well not all of us are.

I cannot believe anyone would throw out republican principles and vote for someone just based on him being a minister or vote for someione after they have been fighting the party since losing in 2000

I think I've read ever book ever written on Burr. You do realize that the courtmartial formed by General Washington to deal with Burr's commanding officer was made up of men who later on Burr chose to be his political enemies.

Burr was loyal to a fault, but he was certainly loyal.

He has more executive experience than anybody in the race. In addition, Romney hurt himself by running all of these negative adds against other candidates early on, that’s why none of the other candidates like him, right or wrong, you can understand their position.

I agree, there are problems with all the candidates in the race. However, Huckabee is the strongest conservative now in the race, and I think that’s why you saw somebody like Hunter endorse him.

I am freaked out by most of Huck's positions because he says one thing but his record proves another. His pimping of Christianity just makes it ten times worse.

And no, Romney (nor McCain) are much better on various positions. I can can confidently say that all three suck rocks.

Fred was my man as well. I was one of his most ardent supporters- still am.

And if Romney fails to win the nomination and McCain chooses him as his VP would you lose respect for Romney?

That scenario is also possible.

The Angry old white man versus the young, vigorous multi-cultural voice of “Hope”....

Can you say NIXON-KENNEDY?
Why, we even have another Daley that can deliver Chicago....

I don’t trust Huck on anything. I started out liking him a lot but now I see him as uninformed, weak, liberal on immigration and liberal same as all the Washington GOP. So, why should I want him - he will be just like all the other Washington pawns.

I agree with you for the most part. Not sure about the new party as yet, but something HAS to change and change soon. Maybe a Conservative Caucus within the Republican Party with its own platform.

This might become a basis for a new party if it should come to that. That way we true Conservatives out here will know which candidates and members of Congress are within our Conservative Caucus. All support in the form of money and donated time, etc could be focused on non-RINOs. A separate party within the party sort of.

I'm not sure what to do, but things aren't shaping up for our Republic well at all so far this cycle. Should Romney get the nod, I'll kinda hold my nose and vote for him. If it is McQweeg, McVain or McPain I'll write in Fred Thompson. I will NOT take a part in voting the country to swirl in the crapper under the Republican banner like our idiot RINO brothers and sisters did in California. The big RINO Ahnold Schwartzenkennedy takes California down with dim policies but under the Republican name.

WHAT A REVOLTIN' DEVELOPMENT !! (shaking head)

Whatdaya think?

I am a Christian who believe that bastardizing my religion for my own personal gain is an affront to God himself.

And Huckabee's actions and words have been far from the 'Christian' he says he is.

Oh, and yes, the church I attend displays the American flag with the Christian flag. Thanks for asking.

FIRST VOTE: HUCKABEE 33%, McCAIN 16%

SECOND VOTE: HUCKABEE 52%, McCAIN 1%

Nothing suspicious here. Move along.
