Tune in through streaming audio (or to 630 AM radio in the D.C. region) for two hours of the most fun-filled, fastest-growing and sensational radio talk show, The Chris Plante Show.
The Two Chrises will be on from 8:06 to 10:00 p.m. If you want a serious political conversation mixed with sense of humor, knowledge, intelligence and detailed analysis in a highly-charged news talk radio show, along with a discussion of the breaking news of the day, then youve come to the right place. WELCOME TO THE CHRIS PLANTE SHOW!
CHRIS PLANTE BIO (some excerpts from WMAL) -
The Chris Plante Show, 630AM - WMAL, Washington, D.C. is broadcast live during the week, Mondays through Fridays from 8:06 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. and on Sundays from 12:06 - 2:00 p.m. by himself and with Jerry Klein, WMAL's Pet Liberal, from 2:06 - 3:00 p.m.
Chris Plante, often sub to Mark The Great One Levin, joined the WMAL team after 17 years at CNN including nearly ten years assigned to the Pentagon covering the U.S. military and intelligence community. Chris was assigned variously as Pentagon Correspondent, Senior Producer for National Security Affairs, Military Affairs Producer and as an assignment editor. He traveled extensively for CNN covering defense related stories from Saudi Arabia in 1990 and Bosnia in 1995, to Vietnam, Indonesia, Africa and the remote corners of the former Soviet Union.
Chris also hosts the public affairs show Homefront America which is currently seen nationally on The American Life television network, and is working as a documentary film maker. Representing the third generation of his family that has been on-the-air in radio and television, Chris brings a unique world-view, and largely conservative/libertarian values to his role as talk show host on WMAL.
Marching in lock-step with no politician, Chris says his political party is Practi-crat, ...because of my distinctly practical political leanings. Chris received the Edward R. Murrow Award from the Radio and Television News Directors Association (RTNDA) for his reporting from the Pentagon during the terrorist attacks on September 11th, 2001.
CHRIS CORE BIO (from WMAL) -
Chris Core takes a look at the most important city in the world as a broadcast veteran with over 30 years of experience. Marc Fisher of the Washington Post calls Chris, "A rare talker who gets the complexities of this region," reflecting a show that is more informative, more stimulating, and more entertaining than anything else on Washington radio.
Chris was nominated as one of the five best local talk show hosts in the country by Radio and Records Magazine and was listed again in 2007 as one of the Top 100 Talk Show Hosts in the country by Talkers Magazine -- for the 4th time! In his 3+ decades at WMAL, Chris has helped raise millions of dollars for charities including Fisher House, So Others Might Eat, The Salvation Army, Feed The Children, Childrens Hospital and for Leukemia research.

Hi Silvie,
I’m in, but will be “roaming” with my headphones ~ scrambling kids off to bed, etc.
I hope that Plant smacks Core around a bit. I been so tired of hearing Core prop up McCain all week!
I’ll be listening and check back later.
Glad to have you here, Joe.
I’ve sent my son over to my husband for the rest of the night and told hubby to watch “American Idol” with him, give him snacks, give him a bath & put him to bed.
It’s all POLITICS for me tonight!
Hello HM! Glad to see you again!
What other museums is the Newseum near?
I am going to assume 640 of them were D voters ;)
NOPE, we’ve never been part of Super Tuesday
Michael, are you at the studio tonight?
Assuming that it’s McCain vs. Obama in November — I have a feeling that Obama would edge out & beat McCain. The Arizona Senator is PART of the problem in Washington and he represents the same ‘ol same ‘ol.
Voters on this Super Tuesday have stated in Exit Polls overwhelmingly that they want “Change”...
Did you see Kemp on earlier with Shepard Smith? He was being nasty spinning McCain’s version of Romney’s comments on Dole. To this day, I love Bob Dole, but Kemp has been a major disappointment since his “debate” where he rolled over for Gore in ‘96.
I couldn’t bear to think of not going to vote in Nov. I might just have to ‘bite the bullet’ and vote. It’s just so hard!
As soon as I saw Kemp with Greta Van Susteren in the afternoon, I changed the channel... seeing Dole and Kemp today reminded of the awful Clintonista 1990’s... must we “resurrect” every Republican on the planet?
Core needs to let Plante speak a little more... he’s hoggin’ the ‘mic’...
I think Chris Plante is an excellent counter to Chris Core. I know CC is in his 50s, but he often reminds me of a college kid who is full of himself, and anyone who might disagree with him is scoffed at. One caller was disagreeing with CC, and he started to go off on one of his “Oh, you can’t be serious...” rants, when CP chimed in with “I agree with her”. Shut CC up right away. Loved it!
quack quack
Do you listen to Plante more than Core, Cobol?
Hey, hey don-o:))
Don! How are you, my friend? Did you vote today?
When does Indiana vote, A?
It’s almost 50-50. I often catch Core on my way in to work, and then catch Plante in the evenings on the way to bed. There have been many times when I had to turn Core off. He really doesn’t respect callers who disagree with him much.
In May.
McCain is running almost the same platform as Pres GWB did.
