Don’t worry, won’t make any difference. McCain will lose.

It won’t be your fault. Don’t you really think that the GOP, knowing full well we are facing Hillary or Obama would have went overboard to field a candidate the whole party could get behind? My contention is that they want to lose.

They want a democrat to open the borders, force the amnesty, and take health coverage off the backs of business.

Once we all know how it really sucks, they can come back in 2012, and regain favor.

It is all manipulated and I am not going to play the game.

Which is why I never thought a brokered convention is the answer.

Brokered convention=McCain.

Politically Huck cannot win. He will not have enough delegates going into the convention. Do you think the powers in the party are going to broker the convention to let Huck win. No way. This is going to be brokered for McCain. It is the worst possible outcome, but it is the most likely outcome.

You call what just happened a TWO MAN RACE?

That was a 3 on 1 PILEON, and do you think the WV voters were accurately repesented by how their delegates behaved?

Huckabee 52, McCain 1. Does that seem a little suspicious to you?

I’m seething. I am so PO’d.

This was unethical. They gimmicked the process in order to beat the obvious top choice. This has me so mad I think that I will have to reconsider my position to support the eventual nominee. This is such BS.

Now WV should lock in each person that has already voted until their candidate is eliminated in subsequent waves to avoid things like this, but our candidates should not be exploiting loopholes in order to win.

UGH I’m irritated.

“You guys are just religiously bigoted. You hate Mormans.” — indylindy

The post you responded to with that statement had nothing to do with the LDS. Spelled Mormon BTW.

Mitt supporters throwing around false accusations instead of answering the issues mentioned (there were two in his post) shows you are unwilling to support your candidate's actions on issues, just cast aspersions and false accusations.

You are losing votes for your candidate with that attitude.

Giving positive responses to facts represented would help your cause.

Just say Mitt is sorry he did that a few years ago and go on.

Only kook paul was eliminated in the first round. ALL the mccain voters save 15(?) went to huckster per ORDERS. Again the only conclusion is McCain could not have survived a third ballot.

An extra ballot would not have made any difference.

The McCain supporters would still have supported Huckabee, just on the 3rd ballot instead of the 2nd.

We don’t know where the Paul voters went, assuming McCain’s voters went to Huckabee, it means 60% of the Paul voters went to Romney, but that wasn’t enough.

Romney is not liked by the other candidates, and that will hurt wherever they can team up on him.

McCain will lose.

We're all counting on it. I can't wait to be a "maverick" this November and vote against any mccain ticket if that's what we're stuck with.

Sorry, Huckabee like amnesty, taxes, closing Guantanamo, he was against the surge, and proud of his NEA endorsement.

Sorry, can’t vote for him. My vote was for Romney. :)

Isn’t it funny that you have to be so dishonest in attacking Romney?

It wasn’t a genuine two man race and you and everyone else knows it. It was a dirty backroom deal of collusion between Huckabee and McCain.

not if there were huckabee defections. Remember huckabee voters are just there because they hate mccain and may have jumped to romney based on mccain manipulation.

we will never know.

This is just big boy vote splitting politics.

It also proves the fact that huckabee is just a useful idiot for mccain.

As it turns out, the majority of West Virginia delegates were "Anybody But Romney" voters, like me.

If Romney had been the 2nd choice of some of the McCain people, he could have gotten to 50%.

But the majority of delegates were opposed to Mitt Romney and would rather have Huckabee.

That's exactly how the process was set up, to prevent someone like Mitt sneaking away with a victory in a multi-candidate field.

Ditto.

McCain's defeat will come from those in his own party NOT voting for him...even if we have to sit this out.

I might even have to vote for the other side to stop McCain from destroying the GOP..

Not so much that, but probably they just didn’t want to take a chance that their delegates would leave in the 2-hour delay before the 3rd ballot. It was certain none of the Romney people were going to leave.

By throwing the vote in the 2nd round, he denied Romney a win.

Problem with conventions, they aren’t generally uncommitted folks showing up
