- Romney - 41%
- Huckabee - 33%
- McCain - 16%
- Paul - 10%
West Virginia is winner-take-all, so Romney gets 18 delegates out of the deal.
One down, 20 to go!
This is exactly what pisses voters off and will keep us home.
As if these two jerkoff’s haven’t manipulated the process enough already!
It’s official, from what I’ve heard, that Mike Huckabee has won the West Virginia Caucus. This is terrible news for Mitt Romney, as it illustrates his problem in the rest of the South holding primaries today. Alabama, Tennessee, Georgia, Oklahoma and Missouri (not quite South but still) are all competitive but it looks more to be a McCain vs Huckabee battle there than a Romney battle.
Romney has rolled the dice in California as his last hope. But even if he won there, how would he pull off enough delegates in a state where the districts are apportioned rather than winner-take-all?
SPOONING ; )
Well since McCain came in third they had to vote for somebody.
Blame WV. I blame the caucus process.
True. And both of them are being sponsored by Soros et. al. Soros plans to have the Republican nomination wrapped up by the end of the day. Once Huckabee takes enough votes from Romney, he will throw his votes to McCain and it will be a done deal. McCain vs. Obama or Hillary = George Soros in the White House in '09!
Excellent. On to Alabama and Georgia! ...(ducking)
I've been a registered republican in WV since I turned 18. Tommorrow I'm going down and changing to independent. I've never been so disgusted in the party establishment trying to shove that old, worthless, liberal fossil Juan McLame down our throats...
Sorry for the rant, but as a West Virginian this is particularly personal to me...
Revolting thought.
I guess this shows what is likely to happen at a deadlocked convention. McCain seems better at hardball than Romney, which may be important if the opponent is Hitlery.
The choices facing us are dismal, to say the very least.
That's okay. Let McCain and Huckabee play their little games because I can guarantee that if it's a McCain/Huckabee ticket, the Republicans will lose the intermountain states and likely the presidency--especially if Obama is the opponent. And I will laugh, laugh, laugh when that happens.
It will be the first time in several decades that traditionally Republican states like Utah, Idaho, and Wyoming will vote Democrat. I love it.
Do we have the votes though? If Thompson paired up with him as VP, I’d be hopeful for an independent ticket.
This just stinks. Screw McShamnesty/Huckahillbilly.
Still going to my caucus tonight and I’m hopping mad by the collusion between these two snakeoil salesmen.
“Its obvious that the state of WV wants the delegates to go to Romney and their little antics just assured the voters that their preference doesnt matter.”
If that was true WV wouldn’t use the caucus process.
“Missouri is southern.”
By the grace of God.
He’s worth close to a billion dollars. I’ve heard he’s spent around $35 mil.
If he were going to flop over to McCain’s side, he wouldn’t even bother running.
No. Both of them are Soros' bitches!
A deadlocked convention is not going to help conservatives. Anyone who thinks that is dreaming.
It took McCain, Huck and Paul voters to do it. Does not bode well for McCain or Huck in straight vote caucus states.
I am soooo confused. Did it take what happened in WV for everyone to see that McCain and Huckabee are working together? I thought it had been a given for quite some time.
