There is another story posted at www.newsradio1420.com that he assured the coaching staff as they started to get emotional, “Hey guys, I haven’t died....I’ll still be around.”
His grandkids are here, and he’s pretty close to them. I don’t see him leaving for any length of time, though I do suspect he’ll take up some kind of dual residency somewhere.
Face it, though, if you are of retirement age, you kind of want to be close to medical facilities, and I’ve heard we have the best and biggest between Dallas and L.A.

Amen... I love these wide open spaces... He is not leaving Lubbock.
