John McCain pumped by Super Tuesday poll numbers

As top Republican presidential contenders John McCain and Mitt Romney head into tomorrow's mega-primary in New York and 20 other states, a question hangs over the GOP contest: Is it all over but for the voting?

Two major national opinion polls released yesterday found McCain now has twice as much support among GOP voters as Romney, with Mike Huckabee coming in third and Ron Paul trailing behind.

Several other recent local polls find McCain leads in most of the states that will hold contests tomorrow except two - Massachusetts and Utah, which represent Romney's home state and base. McCain also takes a slight lead in delegates - 93 to Romney's 77 - into tomorrow's Super Primary, but he appears assured a majority of the 1,081 up for grabs at day's end, most analysts said.

I believe (hope) Romney will end up with 450+ after tomorrow and McCain with 600-650. In the end, the only poll that counts and that you can count on is the voting itself...and that happens tomorrow.

...and if Maine is any indication, the voting may well turn out somewhat different than what they expect.

More evidence the liberal media is supporting McCain. No mention of Mitt’s lead in the polls today in CA.

The math here is brutal - McCain is ahead in winner take all states, Romney is ahead in proportional states.

McCain could lose every single contest, not be awarded a single delegate and the MSM would STILL say he is polling as a front runner.

A guy from the RNC on Hannity today said that if after tomorrow’s vote that it appears that Mitt Rommney has as many or more delegates than McCain that they will have an emergency meeting and persuade Mitt to drop out. Can you believe this Chit???

The media are all shilling for McCain, trying to give the voters the impression that it’s a done deal. Time just gave him their cover, two days before the vote.

Wouldn’t you love to see the headline:

“Pollsters Have Egg on Face...Again”

They probably wouldn’t waste the ink it would take to point out their stupidity. Just let the voters vote!

Well, of course. The entire time that Romney led McCain in delegates, there was not one mention of it. But when McCain suddenly took the lead, the media couldn't stop its breathless fawning over the Doubletalk Express.

When Romney reasserts the lead, count on radio silence from the leftist media once again.

This is like watching a train wreck in slow motion. Unlike many of my fellow FReepers, at one time, I thought I could vote for McCain in the general.

But, I have discarded that idea. We’ll vote Romney tomorrow and see what happens.

You’re kidding, right? Did Sean at least ask him why Mitt should drop out if he’s winning?

The MSM wants the biggest Liberal they can find in the RINOs. That is McVain. That is why they are trying to elect him even before the vote....maybe this degenerating country needs a good dose of liberalism/socialism DESTRUCTION to straighten it out. Hell, the French finally got rid of Chirac, didnt they? People finally do realize that SOCIALISM does not work.
