It does have some valid points
Too often we chose the nice guy for our nominee in local elections and he gets eaten by the dirty fighting Democrat..
His tiniest picadillo (like late paid taxes due to high hospital bills) are potrayed as the assasination of the president and there he goes
The problem with this guy’s piece is that it lacks some basic facts. Nevermind his obsession with wanting liberal RINO representation, the people he chose as examples are highly flawed.
#1 Chafee — As I stated above, he wasn’t even a loyal Republican. He refused to vote for Dubya and his voting record was IDENTICAL to Hillary Clinton’s and we were supposed to continue to send money to a man who continuously decried how unhappy he was ? Give me a break.
#2 Connie Morella — RINO-hunters did not “bag” her, the MD Assembly did. They gerrymandered her and Bob Ehrlich out of both their House seats in 2002 after they had failed to beat her throughout the ‘90s. Ehrlich ran for Governor and Morella chose to try to run for reelection and lost. This man doesn’t bother to mention that.
#3 John Warner/Tom Davis — Warner is almost 81 and well past his prime. He’s not being “hounded out”, he hung out about 12 years longer than he should’ve. We had an excellent candidate back in 1996 that was Reagan’s Budget Director, Jim Miller, and he’d be in the seat today had Warner stepped down after 18 years at that point. Davis is simply a crybaby who wanted the seat handed to him on a silver platter. Because his too-liberal wife failed to win reelection to her VA Senate seat (and costing us the majority) and his failure to be annointed as the Senate nominee, he’s taking his pail and going home. Again, he doesn’t bother to mention that, either.
Fact is, a lot of RINOs simply aren’t very nice people and if they don’t get things handed to them, they throw public tantrums. RINOs are often really just spoiled, rich elitists that didn’t want to join the Democrat party because that meant having to compete with the “riff raff” and people that are the same color as their hired help. They are the stereotype of the GOP that the media likes to portray, the limousine-riding, champagne-swilling, brie-eating snobs. But they’re liberals.
