It’s too hard to beat quality teams twice in the space of 5 weeks. That the Giants lost 6 games this year says more about their coaching and leadership than anything else. They have guys who can play. The Pats game plan was terrible though. Against a speed team you cannot stand back their and go for bombs. When they adjusted in the second half they started to move the ball. Too bad they shot themselves in the foot one too many times.

Every team can be beaten if you have the personnel and the right strategy. The Giants defense outcoached the Pats tonight though.

Yep, he’s great when he can outjump a person. Or when a defender falls down like on the touchdown. When it comes time to dig deep he folds like a paper bag. Just like with Minnisota and Oakland.

I wonder how many of them met up today to watch the game together. gotta be happy right now. those’72-’74 dolphins were the best balanced teams I have ever seen.

The HILLARY CURSE is over for the Giants, but it still applies to the Yankees.

“Although I don’t much care for Belichek, he did go over and congratulate Coughlin, perhaps thinking the clock had ticked down to zero.”

Yes, he did.

And for all the people griping about Belicheck leaving the field: about 3000 fans, press, coaches and players all swarmed the field thinking the game was over. Belicheck wasn’t the only one who thought time had expired, about half the people in that stadium thought the same thing.

I asked you to indicate plays where he was not trying hard. I think you’re stuck on something he said and did in Minn four years ago.

Yes he does. And their dad...how proud he must be. Archie is still with us, isn’t he?

Eli has redeemed himself tonight. (No longer a chokester).

Peyton did last year but this year.....a chokester again.

Oh well - they are both fun to watch.

I am just amazed at the Giants stopping Brady.... GREAT rushes against the QB - something Brady obviously was not used to seeing.

It was obvious to me that SBXL was rigged. The NFL wanted that fairy-tale ending for Bettis. They sell a lot more Steeler merchandise than they do Seahawks stuff. Well, plus, since it was played in Bettis’ home town, they didn’t want detroit to burn. Have watched little football since, as it destroyed the ‘sport’ for me forever. I used to watch every game I possibly could, think I only watched about 15 games total the last two years, and did NOT watch the stupor bowl this year. Just saw on the Fox News crawl the New Jersey Giants took it.

"Has anyone seen Lt. Col. Gadsen? Is he there???"

I'm wondering the same thing.

If anyone hasn't read his story, please go to post #2033 and click on the link. It's a MUST READ.

No, the oldest brother Cooper had some spinal problems that made him quit football. But he was a great athlete as well.

Two weeks and the season begins.

I really had my doubts about surviving this winter. Thank goodness, I'm more than ready!

Manning deservedly won it for that play on the winning drive when he eluded the sack and got the 35-yard completion.

WORD!!!! Defensive line was awesome, too!!

But they would not have been in the position to win it during the last drive had it not been for an incredible job by the defensive front seven. Really Tyree’s great catch of a Manning duck was the most critical play that drive.

I think even Jets fans have to be happy about this one.

Heh. I think about 98% of all NFL fans are happy. The Patriots are good enough to beat anyone but they didn't have the character when character counted..
