Actually there aren't, and, speaking only for myself, I will not stand for someone to come onto the Terri Daily threads and say that there are circumstances under which it is permissible to take proactive measures that can only result in the death of an innocent person against their will.
If you want to go discuss with others about how you are "pro-life except for. . ." there are plenty of places to do that. This thread IS NOT one of those.
My comments were on the impact of one specific case on one specific politician.
The Terri naysaying deathbots have never understood that it stopped being "just about Terri" at 9:05 AM on Thursday, March 31, 2005.
Closely related topic, if you don’t mind: The teenage boy who was shot (can’t remember the state) is now “clinically dead,” but they are putting him on life support so they can use his organs.
Whenever I hear this, I become very nervous.
How do they know for sure that boy is really dead?
We've been together en masse here since 2003. It was murder in 2003 and it's still murder in 2008.
There is no gray area. Starvation and dehydration is barbaric as other methods of killing would be.
As per the St. Pete Times, Judge Greer states he doesn't look at the waterfront view at work. He keeps his desk facing the door. Suffice it to say there are metal detectors in that bldg. He can turn his desk any way he wants.
If he has demons, the desk is immaterial to them.
