Back in 1988, William F Buckley started BucPac to remove a CT Republican Senator who was even more liberal then a Democrat and we got Joe Liebermann.

Maybe Ann is trying to emulate Buckley in saying this stuff, but we have a shooting war going on, and instead of being edgy, she comes off as misguided and childish.

I can understand people disliking McCain. I also dislike him. But I don’t understand falling for Huckabee or Romney just to oppose McCain. None of these guys are really any better than the other, on the whole, and even on the core issues.

Romney says he’s a conservative now? Well so do McCain and Huckabee, should we believe them against all evidence as well?

Thing is, McCain has one positive that neither Huckabee or Romney have. He’s electable, especially if he can mollify the conservative base with a conservative VP. And not just electable, potentially big time electable, as in helping sweep conservatives into office in these local races.
