Look at Romney's record in Massachusetts and tell what difference there was between him and Hillary.

Worse, McCain and Romney are the two candidates that can be trusted the least. Both have a history of betraying those that voted for them and flip-flopping.

Ann is rather well known in conservative circles. What is she doing?

She's doing the only thing Ann is ever doing, trying to get people talking about Ann. She follows the time honored rule of showbiz, "There is no such thing as bad publicity."

McCain will ask a good conservative to be his running mate, ...he will embrace a conservative platform...(STOP THE TAPE!)

You are on drugs.

Couter logic of hate: (Wiki) On March 5, 2007, Coulter appeared on Hannity and Colmes and said, “[f]aggot isn’t offensive to gays; it has nothing to do with gays. It’s a schoolyard taunt meaning ‘wuss’”.[

Got something you want to pull out of the closet senator Craig?

That’s certainly one theory.

We have said that Ann C. needs to beef up on here before. I think she has said that she has an atomic metabolism and looks like she is small-boned and tall to boot. It may be a hereditary thing as well. I get the impression that she eats all she can hold, scares her dates by regularly eating more than they do. (The spectre of the grocery bill scares off the prospects.)

This was the greatest episode of Hannity and Colmes ever last night. The best.

When the federal ban expired the overwhelmingly lib legislature was planning on a much more restrictive ban romney convinced them to copy the federal ban which consist of basically a flash hider ban in exchange for his not veto. The permits cost 100 so I will take the 2 year extension on them. He saved mass from tough cali style bans.

"Hannity and Colmes can’t restrain themselves from frequently interrupting her, can they? Why did they even invite her?"

Misrable people looking to make money for themselves & spread their misery to others would be my guess, E.
Truth is I don't watch any of the screaming-head shows, life's too short.

"She’s got a great point to make and really serious arguments."

She usually does.
Any one questioning Ann's credentials OR her tack when[ever] dealing with leftist ghouls, in light of what the hell's going on, raises my suspicions about *them*.

"I think she did qualify her statement (in the middle of being interrepted for the 12th time), that “between Hillary and McCain” she would vote or possibly campaign for Hillary."

As I thought.
Yet another example of: what's the truth have to do with anything.
People claiming to be of the right refusing, again, to believe one of their own.
Despicable cannibals, all.

"However, I think she’ll find that there will be a third-party candidate that she woud rather vote for and endorse."

Perhaps.

"Ron Paul would be the only candidate with the gall and the following to attempt a conservative third-party run. (Although I don’t know if he can do that after running in the Republican Primary). All other “Republicans” would probably just fall in line."

Well just LOOK at what the "republicans" have done to Dr. Paul.
Disgusting, disheartening.

...Ann's been *Pauled*.

Worse, McCain and Romney are the two candidates that can be trusted the least.

Huckabee can't be trusted either. In fact, no politician can be completely trusted. But of the three remaining (I don't count Paul, as he is just a joke), I'd have to pick Romney.

“Therefore, more often than not, the best available candidate does not excite us. If we only voted FOR who we like, and never AGAINST those we don’t like, then we probably would never vote.”

There is a difference between not being excited and being positively repulsed. I think that’s the problem right now. Conservatives are willing to compromise on a candidate. Many are not willing to sell their soul.

“Its hard for me to believe that people actually think that McCain would be no better than Hillary. Its got to be the anger talking, making people irrational.”

Believe it. Looked at from the point of view of what we are likely to get from a McCain administration, there is a line of reasoning that concludes that conservatives are better off with Sen. Clinton. I don’t share that opinion, but I do agree that there isn’t enough of a difference to matter.

Conservatives in general are changing their views with regard to the GOP. I’ve seen it before, but with a smaller subset of the conservative population: gun owners. The relationship between the GOP, gun owners and gun rights activists is strictly business at this point. Gun owners, rightfully, do not trust the GOP to be any more supportive of their positions than the Democrats.

As governor it is his duty to refuse to sign gun control legislation. If the legislation can override that veto, then the problem rests with them.

This is a constitutional matter.

The second amendment is no more something I support parceling off, than the first amendment, which John McCain was more than happy to whittle away at.

If Ann votes for Hillary, she has lost my respect.

A pro-life Republican President gives us a chance to get 1-2 more Supreme Court justices who have respect for the sanctity of human life.

Another corrupt, self-serving Clinton presidency will only try to deliver more spiritually blinded justices in the mold of Ruth Bader Ginsburg. And millions of innocent, unborn children would pay the price.

I’m not a McCain supporter but I would vote for him in the general election. He would be a MILLION times better than Hillary or Obama could ever hope to be.

WAKE UP ANN!

No need to panic, Folks. Persevere and fight and stand for what’s RIGHT and let us pray that God would move the hearts that pull the ballot levers. That’s right!

That's the most sensible post I've seen in all the McMania going on here on FR.

I totally get what Ann is doing. More people are going to hear about what she said and see that video of McCain with Ahnold and Rooty than will see any of Romney's ads or listen to what he has to say. She's using adsurdity to wake the conservatives up. If we vote for Romney Tuesday (I already have) we don't have a problem with McCain. The money quote is:

"She's running in a Democratic primary, he's running in a Republican primary, and their positions are about that far apart."

That's the point, and she's absolutely right. McCain as President with a Democrat controlled Congress will effect their agenda better than Hillary ever could because no one will oppose him. For all my concerns about Romney, one thing I have never heard him say is "reach across the aisle". I've come around to him slowly and reluctantly but I believe he will surprise us if we give him the chance. Just look at Arnold if you want to see what a "maverick" Republican will become once he's elected. It's not pretty.
