And that proved what? The proposed legislation has shifted left (illegal immigration, less support for ANWR and other domestic drilling, etc.)

“I am becoming more and more confident that now IS the time to start forming a new party of Reagan.”
Conservatives have needed a political party they could call their own for about the last 20 years. Depending on how things salt out on Tuesday night, we might see that happening very soon. I just hope that such a political party would reject the use of primaries for selecting their Presidential candidates.

No doubt Mr. Limbaugh and Mr. Hannity will run with this today as will most of the other conservative talk show hosts. Scratch Limbaugh he's taking the day off ... again.

I dont believe what Im reading! Nor can I. This is stupid and just crazy. I used to think that Republicans and/or conservatives were the people who thought through issues and concerns. If this thread is any indication, then I've obviously thought wrong.

Hillary and Obama are both members of what should be called the National Socialist Party. They are both perfectly happy to limit the citizens of this country through abortion. They don’t understand the basis of our constitution and are worse than any Republican. I will never take either Rush or Ann Coulter seriously again. And no one else should either. They are self-promoting phonies who think that the American dream is to make money. Freedom is our first principle and the intrinsic worth of EVERY person. Without that principle we are all just children to be taken care of by elites who have been born to rule.Rush has always presented himself as one who believes in "excellence." What is so excellent about waiting until it is too late to start picking someone who embodies the principles that he proports to promote? He is an elitist entertainer and nothing more. You might as well ask Tom Cruise what he thinks.

McCrazy is a disaster. No question. But worse than Hitlery? Come on.
I tell you what though. The time is long past to get serious about a united, Conservative 3rd party.

If conservatives aren’t even a majority in the Republican Party, how do you expect them to get anywhere with a third party.
A third party has zero chance at success. All it will do is throw the election to Hillary.

Committed conservatives even in combination with the committed religious right make up maybe 40%, 45% of the party. It’s a plurality that if “it” were smart could take most primary contests. But outside the party it’s what, maybe 20 - 25% of the country? The breakaway party just fizzles and doesn’t win.

I watched it live then stayed up 3 more hours to watch it again. I must admit it was powerful, acidic and funny. Even Colmes was in great form when he propped his feet up and sad he was “done for the night”.
She, as do I despises John McCain and what she is really saying is that she would rather eat “sh%t sandwiches” then vote for McCain. This is powerful stuff. This can hurt McCain. If we can get this and his ‘01 flirting with Dems out to the MSM fast, it could possibly swing the primary to Mitt.

You forget the 30% or 40% of the democrats that are disgusted with their choices, and will vote for McCain.

I just know that I want MY COUNTRY and my PARTY back !!
I made the mistake of going third party one time. It
was 1992 when I voted for Perot. I regret it cuz it
gave us EIGHT YEARS of Clintoon. I may as well have
voted for the ba$t#@^ Clintoon. :(
Everyone please keep this in mind if you are thinking
of voting for a third party.

After the primaries he is going to really dump on the Conservatives and court the independents and moderate Dims.

Wouldnt it be nice if McCain was as mean, vindictive, unyielding, uncompromising and backstabbing to Democrats as he is to members of his own party?

If Hillary is the nominee. Obama, we’ve got a problem maybe. Depends on whether the PC types with thier theories of racism below the surface in American society are right. I think the PC types are wrong — but the Clintons don’t or they wouldn’t have run this “look everybody, Obama is black” type of campaign. We’ll see . . . but if the Clintons and PC types are wrong . . . Obama will be tough for McCain to beat. We’d have a better chance against Obama with an ideological conservative that would attack him on the issues. Against Hillary, McCain will win.
