Your position assumes that Huck is keeping votes from Romney- A flawed perspective, to say the least.
Well, I'm in good company. There's many others that think the same. I think you're in the minority opinion on this one. (But I do hope you're right)

His record looks better than most governors. Bullcrap. Increasing state spending by 65% is almost unheard of. He's a spender of the 1st order. A taxer of the 3rd order.

re: Romney has a fighting chance at winning the nomination - Huck doesn’t.
I think that’s the very point the writer is making! Our best bet is that Huck will get enough support to keep either of the other two from getting enough to sew it up. Getting to the convention without a winner would the best thing that could happen for those of us who are so very unhappy with where we find ourselves.
An open convention could give us back any of those who have dropped out to this point.
The convention is still a long way off as political things go. A lot could change between now and then, plus we could know a whole lot more about the various people who might be nominated.

McCain can’t even promise that he won’t sign McCain-Kennedy if it lands on his table, all he says is “it won’t get there”.

Well, we could just as well write-in Thompson or Hunter, anything that keeps any one of them from having enough delegates to win it hands down.

Only after he signed their pledge, they had him rated as poor before that based on his record.
They upgraded his rating based on campaign rhetoric? Pitiful. And I wouldn't trust McCain's definition of 'amnesty' any more that I would trust Clinton's definition of 'sexual relations'.

Any one promoting Huckabee at this point where he does not have a "Snowball Chance in Hell," is only insuring that McCain the open border, CFR, Fairness Doctrine, Troops pull out, high taxes and Real Socialized Healthcare, and Global warming and of kissy poo with our enemies! Wecome to the New World Order

Yes campaingn promises are worth diddly squat.
However I am not willint to give a “pass” based on being a guitar base player.
We need a state by state analysis.
romeny and mccain have to be close together with romney just over the top for a brokered convention to work.
If mccain has the lead he gets to cut deals with him as the president.
If the goal is to stop mccain, not just to have a brokered convention, then it all the tactics have to be driven and compromised to that goal.
It all depends on the ultimate goal.

I have seven good reasons to vote for Huckabee:/s
1.He hates Fred Thompson, Mitt Romney, and loves McCain.
2.He is for amnesty so illegals won’t live in the shadows.
3.He is for closing Guantanamo so terrorists have rights.
4.He likes the government to tell folks how to live healthy and wants a national no smoking ban.
5.He likes to raise taxes on the rich.
6.He promises the death of the IRS but knows it won’t happen.
7.He thinks he has a good chance to be McCain’s VP.

Everyone keeps missing the point. We don’t want Huck to take it, just get enough delegates to keep anyone else from getting it too.
Of course he can’t win, but he can sure help us get to the convention without a winner and that’s what we need at this point.

It doesn’t affect anything when he has no power to change anything. He was wrong, but those murders weren’t blood on his hands. Attack him for his position all you want, to hold him personally responsible for those abortions is unfair.

Got to hand it to the guy. He is so slick. He sold that line and now he’s got our side eating out of his hand.

Governor Huckabee understands his pledge to mean that:
1. The 12 million illegal aliens now here will have to go home.
And the other 10-17 million law breakers get to stay?
