I can’t stomach listening to Medved anymore. The guy is an apologist for the GOP establishment. He always thinks he’s taking the educated conservative position, but he’s just a useful imbecile for the liberal establishment.
I can still handle him for up to 5 minutes at a stretch, but I have a strong stomach. It also bothers me that he seems always to resort to name-calling when he’s losing an argument.
“The guy is an apologist for the GOP establishment.”
That’s the best way to describe him, he refuses to entertain the notion that there’s any flaws in his candidate (a trait he shares with Hewitt). Regardless of whether he wants to endorse the guy or not; if he would take an honest look at McCain’s positives and many, many negatives I could have more respect for him.
I feel exactly the same way - he’s really gotten wishy-washy, and seems to apologize for everything true conservatives are against... you know, that nagging little thing like amnesty for illegal aliens. I even heard him challenge any caller to prove that by crossing the border and staying here that any “undocumented worker” was breaking any law - he claimed there was no law on the books that was being broken. I distinctly recall hearing him state the aforementioned, because that is exactly when I decided if I ever heard his voice on my radio again, I was immediately going to turn the channel.
I personally think Rush is way off base on a lot of things too, but not on this subject.
Agreed and he is a big amnesty supporter also. I am done with him.
No genuine conservative can support the man who gave us the First Amendment trampling McCain-Feingold or attempted to “give us” the amnesty plan known as Kennedy-McCain.
I think we’re watching the final death throes of the Republican party. The factions are going to split.
