Reagan Library Republican Presidential Debate: January 30, 2008
SIMI VALLEY, California (CNN) -- Republican presidential hopefuls will face off Wednesday night without a familiar face as ex-New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani is expected to drop out and endorse front-runner Sen. John McCain.
The remaining candidates will take the stage in a debate -- sponsored by CNN, the Los Angeles Times and Politico -- beginning at 8 p.m. ET Wednesday.
The event at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, California, follows McCain's Tuesday night win in the Florida primary.
McCain topped former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney 36 percent to 31 percent in the hotly contested race.
Giuliani placed third with 15 percent of the vote, followed closely by former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee with 14 percent, and Rep. Ron Paul of Texas was fifth with 3 percent.
Giuliani is expected to end his White House bid and endorse McCain at a campaign event in California later Wednesday, Republican Party sources said.
Minus Giuliani, the debate will be a four-candidate affair -- McCain, Romney, Huckabee and Paul -- with CNN's Anderson Cooper moderating.

I never asked if you cared. You keep proving my point, though. Get over yourself.
Imagine that, John McCain is pro-life...Now what did Mitt say about that in 2002?
Which club is that?
Yes, and if the bad guys are getting ready to kill thousands of Americans, I guess McCain will try to get the truth from them by beating them with a feather~~~
Considering McCain’s coming revelation he’s a lobbyist tool, it wouldn’t surprise me if McCain has made promises to everyone for their endorsement.
It does state that the list is not completed yet.
Sandra voted to keep race based quotas for admission to schools .... one of her last gems on the court.
Her reason? She found no basis in the Constitution, just her opinion that we “needed them” for maybe another 20 years. She was a big disappointment. McCain loved her. I guess he like Ginsburg too.
You are being very annoying
Oh, my, goodness!
I’m so glad I had my dinner over three hours ago! Time to settle before I saw that picture of Arnold! How embarassing to go out in public dressed like that!
Hello!
Neither are my guys, my guys are no longer running sadly, but the ideas brought up by Huckabee and Paul should be listened to. We are not Democrats. We are not liberals. The Arena of Ideas is where we are at our strongest. Even in this debate, we discussed more matters of substance than the Democrats would everdream of debating about.
Let ‘em stay and debate, such discussions ca only serve to make Republicans stronger in the future.
McCain is the most smarmiest creature I have ever seen. I can’t imagine him as President.
The Pompous Windbag Club (aka, the US Senate)
Heh spoke too soon. He managed to slip in the gold standard near the end of the debate.
David Palmer? The only David Palmer I know is a court reporter in Florida (may have retired).
Very, very few leaks from the Bush Administration.
They nearly all come from the House and Senate CIA and FBI.
The one they blamed on Cheny actually came from Armitage.
“You do realize that the delegates aren’t awarded until Feburary 9th - April anyway, right? So why waste the money.”
LOL. He has done nothing but waste the money of his followers.
So did he campaign in SC where he got 4%? Or Michigan where he got 6%? Those seemed to be huge landslide victories for him. The guy is pitiful.
All of us on Earth can change our views. McCain sure has changed his. God Bless Romney if he changed his views on anything, especially abortion. We can’t hold things against a person when they change for the better.
I sure am glad God forgives me for the mistakes I have made in life.
Okay we get it you are a single issue voter
Here is some more info for you to consider.

I guess I should consider that Duncan Hunter, another person with military experience, is also stretching the truth for political gain.
