Reagan Library Republican Presidential Debate: January 30, 2008
SIMI VALLEY, California (CNN) -- Republican presidential hopefuls will face off Wednesday night without a familiar face as ex-New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani is expected to drop out and endorse front-runner Sen. John McCain.
The remaining candidates will take the stage in a debate -- sponsored by CNN, the Los Angeles Times and Politico -- beginning at 8 p.m. ET Wednesday.
The event at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, California, follows McCain's Tuesday night win in the Florida primary.
McCain topped former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney 36 percent to 31 percent in the hotly contested race.
Giuliani placed third with 15 percent of the vote, followed closely by former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee with 14 percent, and Rep. Ron Paul of Texas was fifth with 3 percent.
Giuliani is expected to end his White House bid and endorse McCain at a campaign event in California later Wednesday, Republican Party sources said.
Minus Giuliani, the debate will be a four-candidate affair -- McCain, Romney, Huckabee and Paul -- with CNN's Anderson Cooper moderating.

McCain looked tired and hagard sitting next to Romney.
No
...And that Schwartenegger is emdorsing McCainiac tomorrow! Woop de do.
“I agree. Huck did his best tonite!”
Huh? what debate were u watching?
Arnold. I thought your were smarter than align yourself with John McCain. Good luck pal.
I opened the CNN Charting feed late, but it seem they did not care for McCain at all.
Whenever he spoke, the line dived.
When Huckabee spoke, it streamed in the 50s.
When Romeny spoke, it shot up to the 70’s or more.
There was no debate on "timetables" because McCain lied about it going into Florida. Guess what - Schwarzenneggar has endorse the embalmed one.
McCain is getting the endorsement from his fellow liberal Ahnuld tomorrow. So probably not.
That is what Huck understands and articulated. He is so much better suited for the job than the others.
Romney has nothing in common with greatest modern president, execpt an “R” after his name.
McCain came across as a total idiot. “But, but, but, what about timetables!” LOL!
John McCain is a disgusting human being and Mitt exposed him as such. I fear it may be too late. Regardless, I am praying enough people saw that and will reject McCain on Tuesday.
Huck’s answer to the question about Reagan’s endorsement was by far the best. He is a good communicator and speaks very well off the cuff .. best of the bunch.
FOFL!
First he has the chops to take on McCain and the dems.
And second, in a head to head he can beat McCain and either of the dems.
I don't regret sending him money last night after I got pissed off at McCain winning Florida.
Next to that short fat old hag in the national debates it will be...
Rest assured, the Clintons already have the 527 in place.
Huckabee is the master of slobber. The spoiler sucking up to McCain.
If any voter watches these debates, I don’t see how they could vote for McCain.
Romney wins again.
McCain would still look tired and haggerd sitting next to Nancy Reagan.
I think you hit it on the head. BTW, Schwartznager is going to support McQuigg tomorrow. Suprise not.
