The McCain win is pretty remarkable considering he was out spent 9 to 1 and was so broke he was carrying his own luggage.

I am afraid that I will have to concede that point to McCain.

If McCain was carrying his own bags, it would mean that his multi-millionaire 2nd wife withheld his monthly allowance.

Don't kid yourself, the majority of conservatives would rather crawl backwards over broken glass to keep from voting for that wackjob.

“McCain win is pretty remarkable considering he was out spent 9 to 1”

I don’t think it is remarkable considering that he is running a campaign that Bill and Hillary would be proud of. That includes having the election laws changed the day of the election allowing Independents to re-register as Republicans, the day of the election. The dirty governor of the state endorsing you less then 3 days before the election, and telling lies about your opponent that they plan on withdrawing soon from Iraq. Oh, and lets not forget the help he is receiving from that person who calls himself a Christian, you know, Huckabee, who refuses to drop out, just to sink Romney. You remember that Huckabee is from Arkansas, the homestate of Bill. It’s not surprising to me at all. Hillary will be elected.

luggage =baggage.

And he will be buried under his baggage.

McCain immigration amnesty.

McCain vote against tax cuts.

McCain and the gang of 14.

McCain and his anti-1st ammendment bill.

McCain and his back stabbing,

McCain and his general insanity.

Here in FL, it was the state party the rallied around McCain in the closing days to win it. Romney was moving into the lead until the party decided to put the party muscle behind McCain. They used the entire existing network including past email lists, call lists, etc to attack Romney and promote McCain as the ‘only one who can win in November’.

“The McCain win is pretty remarkable considering he was out spent 9 to 1 and was so broke he was carrying his own luggage.”

BS. There is nothing remarkable in a win when you you got the entire pro-amnesty RINO FL establishment behind you, Crist, Menendez. It was enough to give McCain huge majorities from the proabort, pro-amnesty and non-conservative voters. With Huckabee pulling enough conservative voters away from Romney, McCain won.

Here’s what they did, just heard on CNN:
Taped phone calls IN SPANISH by Sen Mel Martinez.
Robocalls about Mitt Romney accusing him of supporting taxpayer funded abortions and other smears.

McCain was spending a ton of money and has plenty of K street lobbyists giving him what he needs for Feb 5.

It’s a two way race - Romney vs McCain, and the better of the candidates is Romney, especially for conservatives.

Yeah, I have to admit that too. This was a pretty remarkable win by McCain. However, I would say that he was only really outspent 4-1 because of all the free MSM coverage of him.
