Oh Lord, 2000 all over again. And with just our people at that.

I just got back a few minutes ago from Florida dogging every McCain event with the Amnesty Truth Express. My take on most of the people who showed up at his events were that they were veterans and the elderly with some Hispanics. The media coverage was unbelievable in terms of assets devoted to this guy. It met or surpassed some Presidential events I have been involved in. There is a huge press entourage, including plenty of foreign press. I did interviews with UK, Pakistan, Malaysian, Ecuador, German, and Norweigian media accompanying McCain plus some local presss. There is obviously a lot of money behind McCain to afford such a MSM entourage. Most of the major papers in FL have endorsed McCain.
At one event yesterday in Orlando, Cindy McCain said that Florida was "make or break" for the campaign. It is going to be very close. Here is hoping that McCain goes down in flames.

I just dont like folks denigrating his serviceI'll give McCain credit for all those years as a POW. I will also give him credit for being the proponent for The Surge and for his support of the troops. That being said.
John McCain has done everything in his power to make himself look good and the party look bad since he lost to Bush in 2000. Maybe he still has hard feelings about that. Any normal adult would have gotten over that a long time ago.
I came across this quote from him in 2000. "I will not take the low road to the highest office in the land. I want the presidency in the best way, not the worst way." . He certainly hasn't run his campaign that way this time around.

If the GOP wants a traitor like John McCain, they can all kiss my grits, I am going for Ron Paul.I wonder if I am really a Republican anymore. I'm not like these Floridians at all. Where do I belong? Where are the shrinks?

My hubby and I agree, we could never vote for McCain. Since you have announced that at least a hundred times on McCain threads, we've decided to move you from "undecided" to "doubtful".

“A traitor like John McCain...”
Fine. Don’t vote for him. Neither am I. But this sort of talk is repulsive.
To: Lorraine
They won’t today, the exit polls show basically a dead heat.
To: trisham
I can’t handle it. My son has served 8 years, I don’t want him serving 1 day for John MCCain. Maybe Paul is the answer, at least he is a strict constitutionalist.
I bet he would go to actual WAR if the need be.
I cannot vote for McCain and live with myself. I want my kid home and soon.

"McCain has at least one son in Iraq right now (might be 2 now)"
Got link? Jimmy is in the Marine Corps and is serving in Iraq. Jack is in the Naval Academy and will be in Iraq soon enough.

Yikes, indeed!
On Hugh Hewitt they were talking about the Absenstees and the early exits -
1/3 x 6% Absentee margin Romney
2/3 x 1.7% Exits for McCain
Net 0.8% for Romney...
Yikes..

You honestly think Ron Paul still has a chance with the nomination?
