"No, McCain won’t win in the November because many conservatives will stay home, like me. I might even withdraw my Republican registration."

I'm with ya there. I'm hoping Obama wins because I might actually vote for him just so I can sink McCain. If it's Hillary, I'll just stay home. I've had it with the GOP.

Not even Mitt has enough money to overcome the power of having the Left and the Main Stream Media in your tank for years prior to the election.

For many people, voting is a name recognition task. They simply won't vote for a name they don't recognize.

I have no doubt that if you went to the streets of big cities around our nation and starting asking people, you'd find that a significantly higher percentage recognize the name "John McCain" than the name "Mitt Romney"

One sad cow here.

enjoy your choice....President Hillary Clinton. maybe you can help Bill hire the new interns.

Oh please - same old same old.

You sound like Sean Hannity. Look - just because we don't want liberal Rooty, liberal Romney, or crazy McInsane doesn't mean we are dying to have Hillabeast for President and you know it.

The depressing truth is - the GOP screwed the pooch this primary season and all we have left are RINOs.

You can speak for yourself, but I am basing my opinion on dogging the McCain campaign in SC and FL. I can tell you that most Cuban-Americans support McCain because of his stance on immigration. Kinship is more important. Watch the voting and see how much support McCain gets. I can tell you that we were not well-received in Miami with our white van stating that McCain=Amnesty. And Cuban-American leaders have been endorsing McCain.

I just feel McCain’s going to win. The “Romney was against the war” lie did it’s job, and McCain will eek out a victory.

But it will be close enough, and neither will have 40% of the vote, meaning McCain will still be carrying a minority of the vote.

If McCain wins...

Florida is just one state.

If McCain is the nominee, I resign... Let them lose...

I have no respect for McCain either, but I will NOT STAY HOME and allow Hillary to take over the military. The damage she will do is far worse than what RINOs are doing to the Republican party and I am sick of people crying and wanting to take their ball and go home.

'Why is everyone giving up ... taking this so hard.......I don’t get the pessimism here.'

That pessimism is an indicator of a frightened political movement. The beginnings of self doubt in a mass of like-minded people. Hunter has failed. Tancredo has failed. Thompson has failed. Those left standing aren't the best, nor the brightest, that the Conservative Republican movement can offer.....and everyone knows it. When an idiot and fraud like a McCain can be seriously considered by hundreds of thousands of "Republicans" to be worthy of the presidency, it reveals a deep sickness and perversion of sorts in the party. This is panic and some folks just let loose with their fears.

“I don’t trust McCain on illegals or the economy, but he is right on the WOT and on abortion. Two of my biggest issues.”

No, he’s really not. McCain said he didn’t think he could support Alito because he wore his conservatism on his sleave, whatever that means.

When was the last time you saw McCain actually speak about the issue of abortion? And that’s the reason he’s a fair legislator but a terrible executive: he really doesn’t give a rip.

Executives set the agenda. They lead. You really think McCain is going to lead anything regarding abortion?

Not in the slightest. I can promise you that.

"If the alternative is Hillary or Obama, the GOP will vote for McCain"

What's the difference? McCain's performance has been more for democrats than Republicans. I voted for Schwartzeneggar and learned a hard lesson forever. I will be too busy to waste my time voting.

I agree. No matter who wins the Republican nomination, they will have my vote. Not voting would be casting a ballot for either Hitlery or Obama.
