You're right. If Mitt loses it will be by a % or two and it will be due to McCain's low character displayed in the lies and dirty tricks perpetrated since the weekend. Mitt's not got money problems...McCain's broke from what I hear and he needs a win to raise funds...even so Mitt can still outspend him in every state. And besides that I think a McCain win will galvanize a lot of undecideds around Mitt. The prospect of a McCain nomination is too scary.

A lot of people probably voted earlier for Thompson. Take Guiliani and Huckabee out and Romney would most likely win. I agree with you, no reason to be down on Florida. It will be a horse race now and those that don’t want McCain are not going to waste their votes for 3rd and 4th place candidates.

I don’t think McCain will win by more than 5%.. maybe 4... and Rudy has strong areas coming in yet.. Huckabee won’t get 3rd.

Final tally will look something like McCain 36, Romney 32, Giuliani 16%, Huckabee 14%

larger panhandle counties will be the last to report. look for mitt to pick up 20 - 25k votes at the end. if mac isn’t up by 40k with 70% reporting the final margin will be minimal - either way.

If returns from the very conservative Florida Panhandle, which is in the central time zone, come in an hour later than the rest of the state, maybe the results will shift.
