The end of the Romney Campaign
World Net Daily ^ | January 29 | Janet Folger

Posted on 01/29/2008 6:40:55 AM PST by no dems

Finally, there is a conservative answer to MoveOn.org: RoeGone.org, as in Roe v. Wade – GONE. Nice, huh? What's even nicer is the ad they're launching to expose Mitt Romney's record. Be looking for secular conservative pundits and compromising pro-lifers to jump the Romney ship soon. No kidding. I predict this thing will signal the end of the Romney campaign.

Unlike the other ads that have been done on Romney that primarily focus on his flip-flops on abortion, marriage, gun control, immigration, taxes, pornography etc., RoeGone.org's ad clearly delineates Romney's record as governor – which is very appropriate since that's exactly what Gov. Romney said we should do. I was there at the debate last week when Romney responded to the flip-flop accusations with the words: "I can point to a very simple way to find out exactly where I stand, and that is look at my record as governor."

Let's do that, shall we?

As governor, Mitt Romney issued an executive order forcing justices of the peace to perform homosexual weddings, or resign. Then he ordered marriage licenses changed to read "party A" and "party B" – instead of "husband" and "wife."

As governor, Romney appointed a board member of the Lesbian and Gay Bar Association to the bench, and appointed more Democrat judges than Republicans.

As governor, Romney authored and signed a mandatory heath insurance plan backed by Ted Kennedy – including taxpayer-funded abortion on demand.

As governor, Romney overruled his own health department and forced Catholic hospitals to distribute the morning after abortion pill.

Homosexual marriage?

Tax-funded abortions?

Catholic hospital morning after pills?

Homosexual activist judges?

"Look at my record as governor."

Agreed.....they were on their knees for Rudy for a year..then moved to Juan McCain recently.....without noting that Juan isn’t going to do well in closed primaries because he just doesn’t do well with Republicans.

I like the smell of fear in the morning.

“Romney doesn’t win FL and it’s the end......”

If Mitt doesn’t win Florida today, it is really the end. Crazy John will have the GOP nomination locked up in a week’s, time.

Don’t forget Romney Care! Which will cost state and federal taxpayers an additional $400 million dollars!

Sorry, but your assertions about traiding my children's life and their defense for lucre are what is shameful. You assert to judge people you don't know in the least with such a broad brush...and that's always dangerous.

Mitt is not my 1st or 2nd choice. When you are down to 3rd choices to try and prevent a demonstrably much worse evil (Hillary or Obama) you are not going to get anything close to the optimum. Of those left in the race, my view is Romney is the best stop gap, will buy us the most time, will have the best chance of preventing Hillary or Obama, and may, just may be true to the changes he openly admits he has made. It's sad it's come to such a choice...but it has.

I do not believe Romney will renig on abortion or gun rights when he has straight up said we he has said in this campaign. But, if he does...he will still not go nearly as far as an Obama or Hillary. That buys us some time...and when it comes to my children's and grand-children's future and security in such times as these when the good choices have exited the race, then buying them more time is better than turning them over to a much worse and more imminent threat.

But that is just my read here in Idaho surrounded by mountians, my own guns, and people who are inclined to love America and defend her...others are free to read it as they will and support their candidates accordingly.

Mitt’s got the money to keep on going and he will regardless of today. From what I see, while Juan does well in open primaries with the liberal vote needed for his wins, he’ll have problems in closed primaries like FL.

*** I wanna do over with Hunter Tancredo and Fred as the only candidates. ****

The 'Tank' and Fred are still on my IL ballot - along with their delegates. If I knew for sure Rooty was 1000% fini, I may have played 'Vote for the non candidate, candidate' ;-)

But until I see Rooty laying there with a stake through his heart like a dead Dracula (metaphorically speaking of course), I don't want to take any chances.

But I sure as heck ain't voting for Capt. Queeg. I may be crazy, but I ain't nuts.

In eight more days hopefully I can change my Tagline!

“I’d take Romney over McCain, no contest. Thanks for playing.”

There goes WND daily again ... . Not getting facts straight.

Remember the last election no one was good enough and then SUDDENLY Farrah had a change of heart and said VOTE BUSH!!!

Mitt has our vote. I simply won’t enforse a LYING Huckster who preaches HUMANISM, not Christianity and pushes socialism to finance it. I would imagine WND finds this more palatable. The race is between McCain and Mitt. Mitt has our vote!

I’m voting for Mitt Romney.

That's your right (exercise it). Just vote with your eyes fully open about who you're voting for.

Take Romney out of Massachusetts and he will put his finger in the wind and say and do whatever he needs to do to win. IF PERCHANNCE, HE SHOULD WIN (VERY,VERY DOUBTFUL)he will say and DO whatever it takes to assure a second term. Can you think liberal Supreme Court nomonees. With Fred, after his efforts on behalf of Roberts, I have no doubt what kind of judges he would have nominated. Oh my gracious, what a mess we are in!!!!!

I’m voting for Romney. I don’t care what moveon.org-left or moveon.org-right wants me to do. I’ll do what I want to do and Janet can go take a flying ... at a rolling donut.

It’s not as though WND has a credible reputation ... .

At least he puts his money where his mouth is, this is no dilletante Forbsian dawdle at becoming President, when things got hot for Ol’ Stevie boy, he bolted.

Romney has suffered the slings and arrows and spent his own money to take the punches.

My issues with Mitt are more along the lines of when things get hot politically, he has no core positions to fall back upon, he can be pushed around INOW.

When do we get Fred back?

I would have voted for Fred. I see Fred supporters going for Mitt. It’s something YOU have to think over and weigh the pros and cons. It’s really between McCain and Mitt.

Regardless if our next President has an (R) or a (D) next to their name we’re headed for the same socialist state.

There is still a big difference. With R, we would get 4 years of incremental leftward drift. With Dillary we would get a guaranteed 8 (plus?) years with a compliant Dem congress. We would have a young, committed, Communist Supreme Court who would consolidate the demise of liberty that is currently underway.

Rush & Hugh Hewitt have both pointed out that the two you heard this ‘its over’ meme about were Thompson and Romney. They also happened to have been the only two competitive conservatives in the race.

Anyway, roegone.org doesn’t seem to have a website yet. it is registerd by:

so i googled domaintradeclub.com and found this:
http://forums.anandtech.com/messageview.aspx?catid=52&threadid=2147748

if you read, someone already researched the company and got a callback from the admin... it’s a holding company with many clients who own many domains through them. Meaning, the owner of the domain hid their identity by laundering through a third party.

Just to compare Mittromney.com has larry simmons listed as a contact. And even Hillaryclinton.com has a standard corporate entry with the consulting company as the technical contact.

I think the information for roegone.org is very suspicious.

I was thinking along the same lines.

A Repub from Massachusetts may feel the need to prove his Conservative principles while a Texan/Arizona Repub may feel their credentials allow them to do whatever they want.
