This is kinda of sad. His last speech. Had a few tears. I will never forget the 04 election, and the way his was after 9/11. I was choked up too when he walked in and I thought that this is his last State of the Union speech. Even with things he has done that I have not agreed about, he is still a man of conviction, decency, courage, and honor - and a man worthy of the office of POTUS. This speech is energized!

“Protecting our Nation from the dangers of a new century requires more than good intelligence and a strong military. It also requires changing the conditions that breed resentment and allow extremists to prey on despair. So America is using its influence to build a freer, more hopeful, and more compassionate world. This is a reflection of our national interest and the calling of our conscience. America is opposing genocide in Sudan. [applause] We are supporting freedom in countries from Cuba and Zimbabwe to Belarus and Burma.”

I don’t care what anybody says...President Bush rocks...My favorite President over the last 30 years (even more so than Reagan)....
To: Old Sarge
yEP....AND THE 'RATS SIT ON THEIR HANDS. PATHETIC. Now if Bush were to say, "We need to increase welfare payments by 1000%", they'd be dancing in the aisles.
Then they would go out and say he wasn't announcing a big enough increase.

It wasn’t intentional. That just happened to be the frame I caught. I don’t disagree with your take though.
