Rudy Giuliani appears to be pondering an end to his long pursuit of the Republican presidential nomination.
In a meeting in the back of his chartered plane en route to St. Petersburg, Fla., a short while ago, the onetime, longtime GOP front-runner told a small group of reporters, including The Times' Louise Roug: "The winner of Florida will win the nomination."

Not with two polls.
One poll that includes a question: “have you already voted?”
Nice campaign strategy Rudy.
You do statewide polls and don’t ask the people if they’ve voted or not. You just ask, “who have you or will you vote for?”
You don't have the kind of power you'd need to make me a supporter of any of them. I'm not for any of them; I would like for all seven of them to fail. At least I can enjoy watching six of them spin out into EPIC FAIL.
Hopefully his next stop will be a Federal Prison for Misuse of Public Funds.
Don't think Judi would like that much though, he'll be broke from lawyer fees. Odds are she'll dump him quicker like a sack-o-shiite.
Yes, and he was also having a midlife crisis in public, on the TV. He was divorcing his second wife (his first marriage was anulled, because he "found out" that she was his first cousin), and saw fit to announce it on TV, before telling her privately, according to all the reports I read. His life was a total soap opera.
I lived in NY at that time, and remember his campaign. He was actually leading Hillary in the polls, running on his law and order act (even though he had Bratton, the guy who pulled it off, fired), but then dropped out at the very last minute, handing the election to Hillary.
He was actually not very popular, after crime went down, but before 9/11, due to his dictatorial ways. Had 9/11 not occurred, Julie Annie would have been an unknown, politically, I think.
Giuli-ani lost his aura (and me) long before 9-11—— when he refused to run against the Hildebeast here in NY in 2000. That self serving move on his part has saddled us with her royal heinous for the last 8 years...and fueled her evil ambitions!
At one time or another, Myth Romney has betrayed the Constitution, Reaganism, the Contract With America and the Republican Party.
Romney was for abortion rights, before he was against it.
Romney was for Roe v Wade, before he was against it.
Romney was for gay rights, before he was against it.
Romney was for comprehensive immigration reform, before he was against it.
Romney was for gun control, before he was against it. Yet like Bush43, he would sign an assault weapons ban today.
And Romney wants the FEDS to take control of the US health care system --- 1/7th of the US economy. RomneyCare is HillaryCare, redux!
Kick that liberal Willard to the gutter.
Yes, that’s EXACTLY what Rudy is saying.
Both.
Or dogcatcher.
Please no AG...pro lifers wouldn’t stand a chance with this creep as AG.
Love that quote.
Rooty’s steep slide into political oblivion is enormously gratifying since his campaign’s Primary Goal was to takeover the Repub party——religiously cleanse the party——and kick so/cons to the curb.
Course that stupid plan of Rooty’s was based on his ignorant assumption that conservatives were going to rollover and play dead.
Too bad the nitwit failed to realize That Was Nevah Gonna Happen.
This may not be good. I was kinda hoping he would suck away moderate votes from McCain.
That was our goal, Jim.
Mission accomplished!
Perfect, ain’t it? So pithy...
Do you know where it was revealed McCain was behind the rumor?
Rudy must be kept away from ALL law-enforcement cabinet positions, including Treasury.
Let him run Education.
