Ted Kennedy endorsing Obama

Ted Kennedy endorsing Obama By Susan Milligan Globe staff WASHINGTON -- Senator Edward M. Kennedy will endorse Barack Obama for president tomorrow, breaking his year-long neutrality to send a powerful signal of where the legendary Massachusetts Democrat sees the party going -- and who he thinks is best to lead it. Kennedy confidantes told the Globe today that the Bay State's senior senator will appear with Obama and Kennedy's niece, Caroline Kennedy, at a morning rally at American University in Washington tomorrow to announce his support. That will be a potentially significant boost for Obama as he heads into a series of critical primaries on Super Tuesday, Feb. 5. Kennedy believes Obama can ``transcend race'' and bring unity to the country, a Kennedy associate told the Globe. Kennedy was also impressed by Obama's deep involvement last year in the bipartisan effort to craft legislation on immigration reform, a politically touchy subject the other presidential candidates avoided, the associate said.

Deval Patrick actually endorsed Obama way back in October. Video is here.

Wow - hadn't heard that! BTW - the Rev'runds Jackson and Sharpton are awfully quiet these days, aren't they? (Don't know if Big Al has been on H&C - can't stand watching that screamfest).

Sen. Six-Pack may be a Liberal but he isn't stupid. He knows that the Clintons are just avaricious enough to put their ambitions above the good of the country (that was OK for a while) but even worse, above the good of the party. Had a Republican engaged in the type of campaigning the Clintons have over the past few weeks, the media would be full of Democrats shrieking RACISM!!! And rightly so because, by their own definition, what the Clintons have done is racist to it's core.

The question is, will/can the Clintons change their spots and tone it down or will they stay true to form and permanently damage or destroy the African-American community's allegiance to the Democratic party all to fulfill Hillary's "destiny" and cement Bill's legacy? I'm thinking they can't. And given all the Clintonistas at the DNC, they stand a better chance of getting their way than do Messrs. Kennedy and Obama.

What would be REALLY interesting is if Hillary picks a white running mate (unlikely... she’s evil, but not stupid), and if Mitt (I’m thinking positively here) DOES pick a black running mate... like J.C. Watts, for instance.

This could be a great year to buy popcorn, some good micro beers and soft drinks to watch the rats implode.

“Meanwhile, for any Conservative who ever said that they’d hold their nose and vote for Obama over whomever the Republican candidate was, perhaps Teddy’s endorsement should be considered a great BIG CLUE-BAT upside the head.”

Any Rino saying that is a suicidal Rino, and they need to look into mirror to see a poster boy suicidal Rino.

Reaganesque I smell a rat. If you listen to all the left wing pundits and so called unbiased news people today I think my feelings may be right. Hillary will present herself as a right of center dem on our national defense policies when and if she gets the dem nomination. I don’t think the American people will listen to the garbage that these liberal dems spew. They will look at Obama and Hillary, remember Kennedy’s endorsment and turn towards her.
Kennedy can always side back to the Clintons.

They just did a half picture of McCain and Obama together. Good Lord! If those two are the two eventual nominees I just don’t get it. First of all, McCain looks death over next to Obama. Obama had hundreds and hundreds of people at his rally (they did a view from the back of the auditorium) and McCain had a healthy group, but still anemic. And if McCain says “my friend” one more time I won’t have any contents left in my stomach from gagging and throwing up so much. We are DOOMED if these two are our candidates! McCain was a choice of mine until he went on a Global Warming rampage...forget it! Plus, all the loom and gloom that McCain talks about cannot possibly sell during a General Election especially if Obamamania continues with such excitement. We are doomed!!!!

All of your points about McAinal are good.

Maybe the most important is you highlighing his constant gloom and doom bs. When he combines that gloom and doom with his latest left wingism, Gorebull Warming, he sounds like the democrats.

Rush: ‘We’ve Gone from Bull Connor to Bull Clinton’

Leave it to Rush to sum up the political situation in a pithy, high-impact way. Here’s how Limbaugh opened today’s show, speaking of the way Bill Clinton injected race into the campaign with his comparison [view video of Clinton making his statement here] of Obama’s South Carolina primary victory to Jesse Jackson’s twin wins in the Palmetto State in the ‘80s:

We’ve gone from Bull Connor to Bull Clinton.”

Does this mean that The Swimmer can actually pronounce Obama's name now?

Probably not.

The Swimmer is not only dumber than a Fifth Grader, his pronouncing is below a Fifth Grader.

good point. In spite of the news from S.C. and Obama’s big win there, if Hillary does well on Super Tuesday, that could give her enough delegates to the convention to nominate her, or at least be in striking distance after those elections that day. Realistically, Obama’s big win in S.C. just allowed him to live another day, politically speaking that it.

I’m watching him too. It’s sickening to listen to Kennedy or any liberal preach about not dividing the country when dividing the country is ALL they’ve been doing.

Now Obama is about to speak...
