CHRIS PLANTE BIO (some excerpts from WMAL) -
Chris Plante, often sub to Mark The Great One Levin, joined the WMAL team after 17 years at CNN including nearly ten years assigned to the Pentagon covering the U.S. military and intelligence community. Chris was assigned variously as Pentagon Correspondent, Senior Producer for National Security Affairs, Military Affairs Producer and as an assignment editor. He traveled extensively for CNN covering defense related stories from Saudi Arabia in 1990 and Bosnia in 1995, to Vietnam, Indonesia, Africa and the remote corners of the former Soviet Union.
Chris also hosts the public affairs show Homefront America which is currently seen nationally on The American Life television network, and is working as a documentary film maker. Representing the third generation of his family that has been on-the-air in radio and television, Chris brings a unique world-view, and largely conservative/libertarian values to his role as talk show host on WMAL.
Marching in lock-step with no politician, Chris says his political party is Practi-crat, ...because of my distinctly practical political leanings. Chris received the Edward R. Murrow Award from the Radio and Television News Directors Association (RTNDA) for his reporting from the Pentagon during the terrorist attacks on September 11th, 2001.

Hey TBM! Hope you’re doing fine... I’ll be back in about a half hour... glad to see you again on the forum...
Thanks
Thanks if know the answer. It's bugged me for years.
Where did you get that quote from, angkor? Is it from another thread?
I have no idea as to the answer to your question, but can forward your inquiry to someone at WMAL.
Straight from the horse’s mouth (well, sort of) —
Topic for Hour #1 will be: McCain Vs. Romney.
Should be interesting.
Okay, show has started.
Topic on the first hour: McCain vs. Romney.
McCain accused Romney of flip-flopping regarding the withdrawal of troops from Iraq.
Cool bumper song suggestion for this topic:
The theme from “Flipper”, the 1960’s T.V. show about the dolphin. (”They call him Flipper, Flipper...”)
*PING*
>>>>>Where did you get that quote from, angkor? ....can forward your inquiry to someone at WMAL.
Quote? Which quote?
And if you have an expedited way of asking WMAL, sure, I’d love to know their answer.
The quote that was highlighted (in bold).
You can send it to WMAL via their “Contact Us” section:
www.630wmal.com
They read all their mail.
Love Flock of Seagulls!!! God, I miss the 1980’s!!!
Piercey -
That LedZep intro was used by the Beastie Boys in the intro to their hit “Rhymin’ & Stealin’” from their 1986 debut album, Licensed To Ill.
(I was a sophomore in college then... that shows you how “old” I am...) :-(
“Never Surrender”, by Corey Hart.
Oh I like that!
Hillary/Billary?
LOL!!!!!!!!
No quote there, that’s my question.
Anyway, I’ve submitted it to WMAL.
