“The usual way did not help our conservative candidates”

In that case, why not just give the nomination to Mitt and skip the primaries?

It didn’t help this time, but it sure did help Reagan in 1980. Having a ton of money gives a candidate a big advantage in the big states. They can afford to advertise in the high priced media. In the small states, the candidates can ride around in a van and meet everybody. That gains the lesser known candidates a ton of free publicity and brings in donations, allowing them to compete in the bigger states.

The reason Hunter and Tancredo are out is because they can’t afford to compete in super Tuesday. They don’t have enough money to put even one add in every market in California, much less New York, Texas, Ohio, Illinois and Florida. They are on the ballot, but their only chance to get any publicity is on those stupid candidate forums.

Romney is trying to buy the POTUS anyway

If it is true that the most money wins then whether the Primaries are one way or the other would not matter

Romney has a bottomless purse...

And an obsession to win, whatever he has to do or say
