President Bush's final State-of-the-Union address is expected to reflect the political reality that there is little room for any big ideas out of the White House during his remaining months in office.
White House Press Secretary Dana Perino says anything new and major is "just not realistic."

Sometimes the Lord moves in mysertious ways. :)
What does Bush have, to talk about?
Other than his going on 5 years, with no end in sight.
occupation of Iraq
Well, they both love illegal aliens more than Americans. He should give the speech in Spanish. It's about time the rest of us peons lean our place in the new world order!
"Along with these issues of national security, border enforcement and protecting the U.S. industrial base, I see another quality of Mike Huckabee's candidacy that compels my endorsement. Mike Huckabee is a man of outstanding character and integrity. I saw that character over the last year of campaigning and was greatly impressed. The other Republican candidates have many strengths and I wish them all well. My personal choice is Mike Huckabee."
Seems like his Iraq policy has actually worked...the current recession hype is media inspired BS..since we’re at statistical full employment and “real” wholesale inflation numbers are low....all in all...the economy is pretty good...CNN and other major press outlets are just trying to get a dumbocrat elected...
But anything good Bush has done has been drowned out by the illegal immigration “one issue” crowd (at least in this forum)...but...it really is a big issue...and Bush, unfortunately is on the wrong side of it...
All in all...I am glad Bush has been POTUS...Gore would have been a tragedy and let’s not even think what Kerry would have done to this country...

As you get more acquainted with this site, you may discover that things in Iraq are much better than your friends at DU are telling you.
occupying Iraq for 5 plus years,
worth losing Newt’s majority in Congress?
not in my opinion
Hunter’s endorsement of Huckabee is no more credible than Tancredo’s endorsement of Romney. Maybe less so since Hunter and Huckabee are members of the same denomination. Tancredo and Romney are not.
Thet guy can’t leave office soon enough for me. Don’t let the door hit ya’ on the way out, George. Too bad you can’t take all those wildly expanded federal agencies and financially suicidal entitlements you gave us with you.
No more Bushes or Clintons please.
There ya go. You had to waken the zombies.
But i find it funny how you Romneybots moan about notice of his religion, but do not hesitate to be hypocrites and inject it against others.
Btw I think this is funny too - Tancredo announced on his 62nd birthday December 20, 2007 that he was dropping out of the presidential race.
What’s this occupying Iraq krap? Are we occupying Germany, Japan, everywhere else we strategially base troops to protect our interests...jeeeeez...you’ve really bought into the agendized propaganda from the left on that statment...how about you take a more fact based, historically contextual, position on Iraq there chief...if not..then perhaps you are in the wrong forum for your political ideas...
Who lost the majority...every media outlet in the world ran a disinformation campaign in 2006...combine that with a rather uneducated or misinformed electorate...and bingo...you get a Dem legislature...
Are you a Ron Paul supporter by chance?
Other than his going on 5 years, with no end in sight.
occupation of Iraq.”
Oddly enough, the end is in sight. We are winning in Iraq and the Iraqis are taking over more and more of their country from Al Qaeda in Iraq (AQI). But we may still want to stay, as we do in Germany, Japan and Korea.
Of course, it is still not too late for a Democratic controlled Congress to abandon south west Asia, as they did south east Asia. After winning the Vietnam war, bringing the troops home, and obtaining peace with honor, the new Congress cut off funds for South Vietnam and publicly reneged on promises to provide military backing if required. It was an open invitation to the communists to resume the war, which they did. Few Democrats shed a tear when the communists took over South Vietnam and Cambodia. When the communists murder millions, Democrats were too busy to notice. Carter was turning on the Shah, giving Iran to Muslim supremacists, sowing the seeds for 9/11/2001. We could have a reply 2009-10. The past may not repeat itself exactly, but it sure does rhyme.
not much party leadership as usual,
and,
hello democraps.
why is the US Army. still
going house to house?
why can’t Iraq do that?
If Iraqi security wants to blow up a house,
call the Air Force.
I suppose Club for Growth is a Romneybot too because it rates him and Guilani way ahead of McHuckster. On the other hand, it may be because they feel introducing fiscal sanity to ultraliberal hellholes such as NYC and Taxachusetts takes considerably more acumen than introducing illegal aliens and higher taxes to a relatively conservative constituency such as Arkansas.
