President Bush's final State-of-the-Union address is expected to reflect the political reality that there is little room for any big ideas out of the White House during his remaining months in office.

White House Press Secretary Dana Perino says anything new and major is "just not realistic."

Haven’t even heard the speech yet and about nine months before votes are cast... You going for a record to beat France for surrendering?

“I suppose Club for Growth is a Romneybot too...”

Are they hypocrites who moan about the unfairness of mentioning religion, but then jump at the chance to use religion against others?

You own credibility here is NIL.

There haven't been a whole lot of big ideas out of the White House in the previous 84 months, either.

Yes, unfortunately when war is thrust on you and the opposition party is in full blown treason trying harder than the enemy to create VIETNAM... your options become a little but limited.

So you rather surrender to the terrorists in Iraq then lose an election. Shame on you and go back to DU or Liberty Post or what ever treasonous forum you came from.

So what were his big ideas when he got into office to begin with? And why did the war force him to drop them?

If he would, he could help the GOP 2008 Election cause with this speech.

I expect him to quote the late Richard Nixon:

"We are all Keynsians now."

It's a free country. Support whoever you like. But it would be nice if you'd knock off the personal attacks because I choose to take the Club for Growth's advice over Duncan Hunter's.

Last time I checked, the Free Republic poll picked Romney over Huckabee by a 12-1 margin. But I suppose we're all Romneybots.

As far as making an issue out of religion, it was your guy who injected it into the election, so I was just giving him a taste of his own medicine. Not too savory, is it? And ironic, too, because if he hadn't, my second choice guy (Fred) or even Duncan Hunter might still be in the race.

Below I provide for you Bush's first SOTU where you can see in his own words what his ideas were. Note that a huge amount of emphasis by him was put on "bipartisanship" that would be necessary for success.

In light of 9/11 attack tand the subsequent treasonous backstabbing of the Democrat Party and MSM, seriously what "Big Ideas" do you think he had a chance with?

Romneybot is someone who backs a candidate who constantly complains about his religion being noted. But then that Romneybot does not hesitate to use religion against others, just like you shamefully did.

You are a hypocrite as well as a Romneybot by pure definition.

Why? He had the House. He had the Senate. He had the White House. He had all that for 6 years and did what with it?

The surge is working. AQI is being marginalized and reduced in Iraq. More neighborhoods are being controlled by either US forces or Iraqi forces. There are more handovers from US to Iraqi forces. The surge only reached its full strength last summer. These things take time. Prior to the US surge, AQI had the initiative and momentum. That is the way war works sometimes. Sorry it is not as simple as building a house.

I suggest you read Michael Yon or Michale Totten. They are permanently embedded reporters in Iraq. They don't have the liberal, anti-american, anti-military mindset common in the mainstream media.

By the way, US casualties are dropping with the surge. For the war as a whole, US casualties are on a par with homicides in NY city for the same time frame (five years). Back when Democrats ran the city, homicides were about four times higher. It’s hard to have perspective, when we have a one party press.

Ah, yes. Name calling. The last refuge of somebody unable to win an argument by reasonable argument or logical persuation. Just like political correctness. How eloquent and sophisticated!

You can’t ignore the impact 9/11 and Iraq had on the drain for president Bush’s ability to get “Big Ideas” that he coming in. There have been success on taxes and the battlefield and not being attacked in the US again.

Bush had some good ideas such as partial privatization of social security that required more political capital than he had under the circumstances.

Other ideas like amnesty were awful and we can be glad he did not get that done too.

Taking a hypocrite like you to the mat has been fun but again I am telling you enough now.

Btw Romneybots also never stop replying no matter how foolish they make themselves out to be.

Where’s my editor? I’ll just correct my last three sentences myself:

When the communists murdered millions, Democrats were too busy to notice. Carter was turning on the Shah, giving Iran to Muslim supremacists, sowing the seeds for 9/11/2001. We could have a replay in 2009-10. The past may not repeat itself exactly, but it sure does rhyme.

I guess that is that.

After all the hijacking of the thread I put up with I need to move on.

I just want to remind anymore visitors here - watch for a good boost for Huckabee in Florida on Tuesday from President Bush’s last SOTU on Monday night. :)
