Hey, do you even care about the U.S. Constitution and our Second Amendment rights?

You don’t regret voting for a man that is trying to short circuit the first review of the Second Amendment in 60 years?

I’ve spent my whole adult life hoping to have the U.S. Supreme court clarify our irrefutable gun rights, and Bush had his solicitor general send a brief to the court that supports carve outs.

Just damn!!! It’s been 60 fricken years, and you glibly act as if this means nothing at all.

Bush is not perfect but if you thought Gore or Kerry wouldn’t have been ten times worse you’re just fooling yourselves.

At least with Bush you have Alito and Roberts on the SCOTUS, or would you rather have had another Ginsberg and another Stevens there. And do you really think that would be been better for your 2nd amendment rights?

I’m beginning to believe that the parameters many “conservatives” use to determine if a candidate is “OK” are as long as WS is OK and/or the person is anti-abortion to hell with the Constitution.

Oh I forgot the “he’s” a war hero so I’ll vote for him even if he’s nuts. To “Preserve, Protect and Defend the Constitution” is too limiting to some, it gets in the way or their agenda’s.

Woah, take a deep breath. Now recall that it was not a choice between Bush and some imaginary great conservative. He was talking about Bush versus Gore. Bush has done a pile of stuff I don't like but he wasn't Gore. You railing like this sounds like you wish we had not voted at all in 2000, or had voted for Gore. Your not making sense.

Calm down - you'll have a heart attack! But you are right - That brief that was filed was the last nail in the coffin.

The greater issue in the DC gun case is whether or not Congress had the Constitutional authority to delegate its exclusive legislative jurisdiction to the DC City Council.

Once that's decided the gun case is instantly resolved since all the laws passed subsequently by the DC government are null and void.

The USSC will not directly address the gun case ~ just the legal basis of the law underlying it.

The Administration would probably prefer to leave the DC government in place, hence their mealy mouthed Amicus.
