If it is a DNA structure that acts like a life form, its a life form. Period.
In what way? Is there a formal, universal definition of "life"? Robots can "act like a life form", but are in no way a life form.

I was being simplistic in my statement because most of the people here simply are NOT well versed in the sciences. There is not ONE formal, universal definition of "life form". However there are specific characteristics that are used, and accepted by science to show something is "life".
Specifically, there are seven items that are used to determine that something is "alive" and a "life form. Those are homeostasis, organization, metabolism, growth, adaptation, response to external stimulus, and reproduction. I'll leave you to do some more research on it, but my statement was accurate, albeit, simplistic.
If it acts like a life form, it's a life form.
