“rebates of at least $300 for almost everyone earning a paycheck, including low-income earners who make too little to pay income taxes”

So...let me get this straight. If I’m single and make over $75,000 a year, I DO NOT get a rebate, but people who pay absolutely NO taxes get $300? Tell me - what exactly are they getting a rebate FROM??

you ARE getting a rebate....then giving it to someone who doesn't pay taxes....the feds are cutting out you as the middleman in the transaction.

“Tell me - what exactly are they getting a rebate FROM??”

When you are putting on your morning makeup or doing your hair, look in the mirror and ask your question. Your answer will be very evident.

From each according to his means... etc etc. just make sure the cash gets into the nail salons, scratch-off lottery distributors and slot machines ASAP.

And, as you’re well aware, giving $300 to someone who didn’t pay taxes won’t stimulate anything, except lotto ticket sales and sales at the liquor store.

I know that’s very un-PC, but facts are facts, and many, if not most, poor people are poor due to poor choices, not bad circumstances.

not usre but it looks like everyone, including you and I, still get the 300, but the rebate part is additional...

before it was 800 for only certain income levels. Now it’s 300 for everyone that earns a paycheck.

Oh, the left will tell you that the lower income earners pay a much larger percentage in “payroll taxes” (FICA).

But, they pull some sleight of hand when you attempt to get them to address the problems with the programs that these taxes are funding.

Payroll taxes are the problem? Well, let’s look at Social Security and Medicare then. (silence)

They are getting a rebate from the joy of knowing that they can make something of their lives by hard work...
and by golly that should be a good enough reason for you missy. How dare you question the plantation masters! /sarcasm

If they had at least $3,000 in income, then they (and their employer) paid at least $420 in FICA tax.

Sorry about your being targeted by class warfare.

On the plus side, at least we now know exactly what the federal government's definition of "rich" is.
