Actually, there’s a fair amount of those even in the major parties among the hard-core supporters.
I think what makes the minor parties more fringe-oriented is just the relative absence of less-ideological people.
That’s the truth. I’ve certainly seen my share of weirdos at Young Republicans meetings.
