I love parties.
I’m having one for the Super Bowl.
Seriously, the Republican Party was founded by northerners in order to make serious changes. They did that.
I do not think that we need a new Political Party. I think that we need to get people to stop voting for incumbents. One term and out would work for me in EVERY ELECTED OFFICE.

Third Party = Democrat
Since Dims out number Repos and part of the Repos go Third Party, You have a stronger Democrat Party.
This idea will go over well at DU and Daily KOS

I fully support two more parties. The Democrats need to form a Communist Party and a Socialist Party!
Why is all the talk about “third party” always involve splitting up the Republicans? I’ll tell you why, because the Democrats want to be the defacto rulers.
I understand the frustration when the Republicans start shifting left and acting like liberals. That is why we must pull the party right, not bust it up!

I agree. We have a better chance of making our way in the world with the Republican Party. Starting a third party will need years of ramp up time to be more that third party roles in the past ... a statement but not a driving force.

I agree. Gut the Republican Party, get rid of the lifers, bring in true conservatives, put in term limits, stop spending what we don’t have, cut taxes back to the point they are supposed to be at, put tariffs on imports if a country has tariffs on our products, cut manufacturing taxes that are no higher than other countries, get rid of tax incentives for companies that manufacture overseas. That should do it for starters. Oh....get rid of the Bildebergers, Rothchilds and Rockafellers (and forgive my spelling).

Once, I became embittered and alienated from the GOP. The siren call of a little overblown man in a cowboy had with a lot of charts called seductivly to me...and all I got was eight years of an adolecent boy president sniggering at me while he destroyed the country.
No way. Never again.

So, how do we go about reforming the Republican Party when they have no presidential candidates some of us can support with a vote?

When its time for another party it will happen. Unfortunately 3rd parties are political suicide when America isn’t ready for them.

Ditto! Let the Democrats start a third party. The last few times we tried this we got Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton.
I’m not to the point where I want to hand over 2008 to Hillary or Obama. I’d rather eat crow.

It's a great idea. I'm just not sure how possible it would be to create.
Given the prospect Republican nominees this election cycle, sadly, I am left hoping for a credible third-party candidate.
