Don’t forget that Fred got in the race after McCain was already in. If he supported him, why would he do that.

Ok, then why no endorsement.
He and Mccain have parted ways politically for some time. 9/11 changed a lot for the two.

I haven't. So what? That was 2000. Fred Thompson ran against McCain in 2007 and 2008.
Once again, if he's going to endorse McCain, why hasn't he done so already, when McCain clearly needs it in Florida?
